I dont come across any folks who go around obeying the lord jesus and healing the sick that speak in the negative about healing... Do the math.

You made the false claim about people not praying for the healing of the sick. You might want to rethink how you're wording things around here because you throw around a lot of false premises without backing them up and without proof. Overgeneralizing is not a good thing to do.

actually he first said "You unbelieving generation," .... etc before he said the rest .
but any way ..if i listen to your line of reasoning i would cease to believe God can do anything .. this entire thread discourages faith .

... and with that you prove once again that you're not actually reading my posts.

Where did I say, even once, that God doesn't do miracles any more? Where did I say, even once, that God doesn't heal any more? Where did I say, even once, that God can't do anything? You're throwing up another strawman.

Since you clearly don't read my posts let me state it in very simple terms yet again.

I believe God heals. There, is that simple enough for you? I just don't believe God always heals. Look for the gap between "always" and "never". It's quite big.

i find that all these types of topics and this whole line of carnal reasoning as to whether its gods will to heal , are mostly done discussed in the negative ,by people who do not ever pray for the sick .
-again .. he commanded US to go heal the sick in his name ... so when you answer the question .. why don;t all get healed ? we must point the finger at us and never accuse god of evil for his promises are there for all who believe .
and when we say God doesn't heal All Christians .. we must stop and consider who it is we are accusing of failing with such words of folly that oppose the stripes laid upon his back .

Firstly you're coming into this with even more assumptions. Most Christians I know do pray for the sick, regularly. I do it myself, and sometimes I've seen the sick miraculously healed. Just not every time. Hey, maybe there's a pattern there.

And once again you're assuming that "by his stripes we are healed" refers to not only physical healing but universal physical healing, and once again you fail to provide anything more than plucking a verse out of context and ignoring anything that may appear to contradict that interpretation.

So you never saw one, therefore they don't exist? That's really bizarre reasoning. It's also yet another wild assumption, in this case that your experience represents the sum total of the whole of Christ's people.

I've never seen a country called New Zealand, therefore as far as I'm concerned it doesn't exist. Yeah, I've seen doodles that people claim are maps of it but anyone can draw a shape and claim it's a country that really exists. Some people claim to have visited it or even to live there but I'm not buying it, I don't see any evidence that such a thing exists.

I dont come across a lot of people who go around healing the sick ,that then speak in the negative about God healing..

ask a those here who are implying God doessnt heal all christians.."do you lay hands on and heal the sick? Not once back in 1989..but as a regular day to day living out of the gospel.

So its not unreasonable to say those that dont do it are those who also speak from an unbelieving stance about it.
Stop trying to attack me with accusations.

i say Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever..its what he said.
i say if you believe. all things ate possible...its what Jesus said.
i say ..by his stripes you were healed..
i agree with God.
His word is not a false premise.

you do realize i only reply to the part of your post that i feel is relevant? so no i don't read your entire post all the time :)

when it says" by his stripes you were healed" ,,it is referring to every single person who has entered into the new covenant of his blood -bar none .
its as simple as that . we also know very unambiguously that the promises of God are yes and so be it (amen ) we also know just as unambiguously that the reason the promises are not obtained is - unbelief . that's all very direct scripture which i feel you are sue to be familiar with ..look it up if you wish .

never said - all the people who don't believe in God's healing do not pray for the sick. they are YOUR words not mine - refer quote .

I've never seen people who regularly go to the street to pray for the sick post such threads, because if you think that God one time does want to heal and the other time not, it amazes me that people even pray for healing, yes for yourself or family or church members, sure, but strangers on the street who don't even believe? I suppose you only do that when you're certain God wants to heal them through you, otherwise they might think you're nuts if nothing happens. Better be very sure and sure that God asks you to pray for someone.
One guy here in Holland who goes to the street, actually it was through him that I found out about Torben Sondergaard and everything, he was in the Newspapers because he had asked a non believing woman if he could raise her kids from the dead after her husband killed the kids and himself. The whole country thought he was nuts. Who does such a thing? Oh my, the mockery he got from cessationists and ex christians. I thought: hmmm not very wise, he admitted that later, but hey this guy has faith. Since then I follow him on Facebook.

You DO NOT DO the Gospel. The Gospel is God's doing.

I had quoted from your post directly so I'm not sure why you said I didn't quote it when I copied and pasted. Did you not see the copy and paste section?

That is a direct quote of yours. It's a big accusation and a false one at that.

So, now that we've seen your wording we see that you believe that YOU are doing the Gospel instead of God and you believe that people who discuss this healing topic such as what the title states do not pray for the sick.

In My Name they will lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. That's believers doing, but on the other hand it's God doing, because we don't live anymore anyway. Hey you agree with Alithis. God does it and he doesn't live anymore.
How all believers always agree so well on the topic of healing is amazing.

The gospel is the good News that He came to save us and died and rose for us, to set us free from sin and sickness, it's all in the package, so we can rise with Him and He can live in us and do the same, well more than He did when He had just one body here on earth. No the gospel is not only healing the sick, Lord Lord have we not done many miracles in Your Name, but it is a big part of it. Jesus and the disciples spend quite some time healing the sick, otherwise some will by no means believe if they don't see miracles. And everyone must hear the gospel like Jesus preached it, accompanied with signs and wonders.
I got a course when I was 18 in church: how you can heal the sick.
Huh me? I thought it was weird. God heals. Yes but He gave the authority to the church. Then just everyone I prayed for got healed. I was just saved a few years, knew nothing. I bet it was one of very few churches that gave that course in Holland. Everyone always waited for the big man on the podium to pray for them. Lol my mother couldn't do anything the whole week, back problems. My dad was fixing the house alone, she couldn't help. Then I got that course. Now try on each other. One woman couldn't get kids anymore and got pregnant after that. I was just practising on her, had no idea anything was the matter. So I prayed for my mom, mom I did a course, come on. Whoop healed. My brother threw a pencil on the ground under the table to see if she could pick it up without pain. My dad was so mad. The whole week she doesn't help me and on sunday she's healed and goes to church. He sang a Dutch kid's song. Always is Shortjacket sick, in the middle of the week, but not on Sunday. On sunday she goes to church with a book of silver work.

I agree with a lot of your first part that Jesus died to save us. His death actually atoned for our sins.

But we don't DO the Gospel since we don't die on the cross, even though we are covered in His righteousness. We don't DO the Gospel in that we can't atone for our sins, even though His death and righteousness cover us in our baptism.

We live our lives as little Christs but that's not DOING the Gospel. The Gospel always points to God and what HE has done, is doing and will do. WE don't do the Gospel. We aren't God. If we were to do the Gospel we'd be our own Saviors. But we're not. We live our lives BECAUSE of the Gospel as God's children but He is always the one doing when it comes to any type of Gospel talk.

Has God promised in scripture that ALL will be healed before the resurrection?

Every time? I see people dying from being sick, don't you? From newborns to the elderly. People pray for them and God has said No. He takes them to be with Him instead.
