I was supposed to be but they need me still I have to wean them I guess! LOL It really makes me see how much they appreciate me and that's always nice.

Certainly a lot of work. Ripping stuff down is easy enough, just need to move delicate things out of the way first. Rebuilding takes more effort but I reckon with an extra pair of hands or two the grunt work can be done fairly quickly.

Thanks, I'll need it! I'm still at the stage of figuring where to start, and what can be moved where pending the work being done. Just to make it interesting we've got to figure out how to keep the cat away from things like exposed electrical wires during the renovations. I know not to touch, my wife knows not to touch, but to the cat it looks very much like a mouse waiting to be pounced on.

Come to think of it, to the cat most things look very much like a mouse waiting to be pounced on.

That's the sort of thing I'm thinking, it just feels like one of those puzzles with the sliding squares. Not least because while we're trashing our bedroom we need somewhere to sleep and while we're trashing the workshop/office we still need to be able to work.

Something tells me I'm going to be testing the limits of the guest bedroom...

Blocking access for the cat is often easier said than done. He just wants to be where we are, and it only takes opening a door a crack and he leaps through. We are going to have to teach him a new location for a secondary food and water bowl and a secondary litter box, because I want to do some major work right next to where his current food and litter box are.

The trouble is that also keeps us out... Don't really want to keep him cooped up in a little box for any longer than is necessary. We can probably give him the run of downstairs while we fix rooms upstairs.

That sounds like fun!! I almost joined deviantart but then we moved and I began working instead of doing art. Maybe now that I'm done working I can get back into things.
