There were many spiritual, physical events in and around this time that could only happen by the grace of God.

Significantly, it was the year for Israel to be born again.

Isaiah 66:7-8 Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. Who has ever heard of such a thing? Who has ever seen such things? Can a country be born in a day or a nation be brought forth in a moment? Yet no sooner is Zion in labor than she gives birth to her children.

Israel declared its sovereignty on May 14, 1948.

Amos 9:14-15 I will bring back my exiled people Israel; they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them. They will plant vineyards and drink their wine; they will make gardens and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel in their own land, never again to be uprooted from the land I have given them,” says the Lord your God.

The Jews came from around the world. And they still are coming.

Ezekiel 37:21-22 and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will take the Israelites out of the nations where they have gone. I will gather them from all around and bring them back into their own land. I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. There will be one king over all of them and they will never again be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms.

Jeremiah 16:14-15 “However, the days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when men will no longer say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of Egypt,’ but they will say, ‘As surely as the Lord lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and out of all the countries where he had banished them.’ For I will restore them to the land I gave their forefathers.

In Leviticus 26:3, 7-8, the Bible says that the army of Israel would have a supernatural power to prevail during times of conflict, if the people are obedient to the Lord. This Bible passage says that 5 people would be able to chase away 100 people, and that 100 would be able to chase away 10,000. Is there any proof to this incredible claim? Judge for yourself:

Leviticus 26:3, 7-8 If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, ... You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall by the sword before you. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you.

Example 1: Within hours of Israel’s declaration of independence in 1948, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon invaded Israel. The combined population of those countries was at least 20 million at that time. Israel had fewer than 1 million Jews. Even so, the Jews won the war and expanded the size of Israel by 50 percent.

Example 2: During the War of 1967, Israel attacked the air force bases of the surrounding countries and took control of Jerusalem for the first time in about 2000 years. They also seized additional territory. That war lasted a mere 6 days.

Example 3: On Oct. 6, 1973, Israel was attacked by Egypt and Syria. Other countries later joined the attack. But the Jews were able to push back the attacking armies and occupy land outside of Israel’s borders.

Before that date, many who were studying scripture began thinking that Israel in prophecies must mean "Christians". And so was born the thought that Christians were "Spiritual Israel". Kind of hard to continue in that line of thinking since Israel was back on the map and alive and well in the nations of the world.

Not only was the hand of God continuously upon Israel and its people protecting it from all sides, but also causing Israel to rapidly advance into a very prosperous nations just as prophesied.

The Prophecy linked to a God's appointed time for Israel to re-appear on the scene

Ezekiel 4:4-6 "Then God said to Ezekiel, 'Now lie on your left side for 390 days to show Israel will be punished for 390 years by captivity and doom. Each day you lie there represents a year of punishment ahead for Israel. Afterwards, turn over and lay on your right side for 40 days, to signify the years of Judah's punishment. Each day will represent one year . . .'"

God is telling Ezekiel that each day he lies on his side will represent one year of punishment for the nation Israel because of their iniquities against God. But there is more because there is a clause in Leviticus that will explain the exception.

Lev 26:18 And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I (God) will punish you seven times more for your sins." ...... 27 And after all this, if you do not obey Me, but walk contrary to Me, then I (God) also will walk contrary to you in fury; and I, even I will chastise you seven times for your sins.

So, we have: 390 days Judgment against the 10 northern tribes 'Israel' + 40 days Judgment against the 2 southern tribes 'Judah' = 430 years Judgment against the nation of Israel. In 606 B.C. Israel (Judah) was taken into captivity by Babylon for exactly 70 years ... 430 years of judgment determined against nation Israel - 70 years fulfilled during the Babylonian captivity = 360 years remaining in judgment against the nation of Israel. Yet, there is no study found to figure out the remaining 360 years of judgment.

There should have been a total of 360 years left in judgment against Israel after their release from Babylonian captivity by the Persian general Cyrus, exactly 70 years after the Babylonian captivity began just as the prophet Jeremiah had prophesied before the captivity. God warned Israel if they continued in their disobedience He would multiply their judgment by seven times. 360 x 7 = 2520. The Bible uses 360 day years for prophecies. So to make this simple, we go back to days. 2520 years x 360 days = 907,200 days of judgment remained against nation Israel after the Babylonian captivity. But we are not on biblical calendar so to make the conversion I convert the 907,200 days found in this prophecy into our 365.25 day solar (Julian) years (and for simplicity sake .25 is the adjustment for leap years) . . . 907,200 ÷ 365.25 = 2,483.78 years of God's judgment remained.

606 B.C Israel taken into Babylonian captivity
- 70 Years for 70 years captivity in Babylon
= 536 B.C. End of first 70 years of judgment
+ 2483 Years Now add the 2,483 years remaining in this judgment
+ 1 Year Add 1 year because there is no "0" B.C. or A.D.
= 1948 AD End of judgment against nation Israel

What makes this mathematical Bible prophecy even MORE remarkable is if you take this same prophetic timeline which starts on the year of Babylon's conquest of the nation Israel and ends with Israel once again raised as a nation in 1948 and shift the exact same prophetic timeline to start on the year when Babylon returned and destroyed Jerusalem 19 years later and this prophetic timeline's "end-point" now falls on the exact year Israel once again took sovereign control over Jerusalem in 1967 after the "Six Day War. I am telling you God's hand is on Israel according to His time table.

Seventy sevens (490 years) were determined upon Jerusalem for it to complete its transgressions, to make an end for sins and for everlasting righteousness to enter into it (Daniel 9:24)... think about Daniel's prophecy of 69 and the missing week. The 69 years scholars have given an account for but 9:27 The 70th Week.... unfulfilled. Note that the focus of this passage is upon "thy people and upon thy holy city," that is, upon Israel and Jerusalem. Yeshua knowing the time will come when this world will again focus on Israel.

Matthew 24:32-34 Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it [or he] is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.

"Fig tree" is a prophetic reference to Israel. It is a sign that we are the generation that will see Yeshua returning.

24:1-3 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down." As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

Jerusalem recaptured by Israel in 1967 + 50 (Jubilee) = 2017 A.D.

We all shall be individually judged. What is remarkable is that Israel will rise as the Nation of God's chosen people. They were the first and they are going to be the last. We see American falling away from being an Christian nation. It is the last strong hold, and from the moment prayer was removed, the ten commandments were taken down, and the Judeo-Christian standard were taken down, our nation is being thrown into a tailspin.

What will rise is Israel representing to the world Yeshua's kingdom on earth. It is hard to believe, but even as I post, believers are gaining huge grounds in Israel and the Jews are coming in droves accepting Yeshua as their savior. We are in the end days, and if you thought it was rapid, it is nothing compared to what will soon come to pass in the whirlwind.

Generation.. what is a biblical generation?

Psalms 90:10 says 70 years

Psalm 90:10 The years of our life are seventy,....

God likes the number 70. I can see Him using this prophetically as a "generation".

2017... Any more clues that this year might be prophetically significant?

It’s hard to pin down the length of a generation in the Bible.

1) According to Gen. 6:3 it may be as long as 120 years.

The first ever Zionist congress held in Basel, Switzerland in 1897. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Zionist_Congress ) 1897 + 120 = 2017

2) Genesis 15:13, coupled with Gen. 15:16 indicates 100 years.

The first official political act paving the way for Jews to return to their land was the Balfour Declaration of November 1917. 1917 = 100 = 2017

3) Psalms 90:10 indicates a possible 80 years.

In 1937 Peel Commission published a report that for the first time recommended partition of Palestine, and the land under it’s authority be apportioned between an Arab and Jewish state. The plan was declared unimplementable. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peel_Commission) 1937 + 80 = 2017

4) Psalms 90:10 also indicates a more likely 70 years.

Of course, there is my favorite, The United Nations general assembly voted in favor of the Partition Plan that actually created… the State of Israel in 1947. 1947 + 70 = 2017

5) Matthew 1:17 may indicate around 50 years

The Jews regained Jerusalem, fulfilling“when the fig tree putteth forth leaves.” in 1967. 1967 + 50 = 2017.

6) Psalms 95:10 indicates 40 years.

The State of Israel reaches the Jewish “age of maturity.” in 1977 according to biblical standard. In the Old Testament Bible, priests could not work in the tabernacle until age 30. Numbers 4:3 Modern Israel was born in 1947. 1947 + 30 = 1977. “When the fig tree putteth forth leaves” could be considered as another way of saying “when Israel becomes mature.” The Hebrew word Liqud means ‘The Consolidation’ in English. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the current Liqud party leader which was formed in 1977. 1977 + 40 = 2017

7) Deut. 2:14 indicates 38 years.

Israel signs a peace treaty with Egypt in 1979. 1979 + 38 = 2017

I have collected other interesting connections which I will share with you.

2017 is the Jubilee of the Jews controlling Jerusalem.

2017 is also exactly 500 years since the Protestant Reformation in 1517.

2017 is the 70th. anniversary since modern man officially flew faster than sound, and it’s also the 70th. anniversary of the UFO crash/ Roswell conspiracy theory which may be a neither here or there finding.

2017 is the 70th. anniversary of when the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. ( http://www.nicetiming.com/bible-proof/)

I just didn't want you to be unaware... End time prophecy indicates most people will be still be unaware until the tribulation ‘flood’ comes.

Judah Ben Samuel was a legendary and prolific German rabbi of the 12th century who made some astonishing and specific predictions about the future of Jerusalem and Israel that came true. Judah Ben Samuel published the results of his biblical calculations (Gematria) and astrological observations and it is summarized as follows: “When the Ottomans (Turks) – who were already a power to be reckoned with on the Bosporus in the time of Judah Ben Samuel – conquer Jerusalem they will rule over Jerusalem for eight jubilees. Afterwards Jerusalem will become no-man’s land for one jubilee, and then in the ninth jubilee it will once again come back into the possession of the Jewish nation – which would signify the beginning of the Messianic end time.”

One jubilee is 50 years (Leviticus 25). It is the 50th year after seven times seven years, the year in which each person should regain ownership of his or her land. Ben Samuel’s calculations were purely theoretical; there was absolutely no sign at that time of their being fulfilled. He himself was not able to experience their fulfillment, for it was only 300 years after his death that the first of his predictions were to come true. The Mamluks, who had been reigning in Jerusalem since 1250, were conquered in 1517 by the Ottoman Turks. They remained for eight jubilees (8 x 50 = 400 years), that is to say they were in Jerusalem for 400 years. Exactly 400 years later, in 1917, the Ottoman Turks were conquered by the British. The League of Nations conferred the Mandate for the Holy Land and Jerusalem to the British. Thus, from 1917, under international law, Jerusalem was no-man’s land.

Then, when Israel captured Jerusalem in the Six Day War of 1967, exactly one jubilee (50 years) after 1917, Jerusalem reverted to Jewish-Israeli ownership once again. Thereby, according to the prophecies of Judah Ben Samuel, the Messianic End Times began. In AD 1217 this scholarly and pious rabbi prophesied that the Ottoman Turks would rule over the holy city of Jerusalem for eight Jubilees. Now, keep in mind, he made this prediction 300 years before the Ottoman Turks seized control of Jerusalem in 1517. If indeed 1217 and 1517 were jubilee years as Judah Ben Samuel believed, then his prophecy was exactly right, because exactly 400 years after the Turks took control of Jerusalem they were driven out of the city and the holy land in 1917 by the Allied forces under the command of General George Allenby – on Hanukkah, by the way.

The rabbi also prophesied that during the ninth Jubilee Jerusalem would be a “no-man’s land.” This is exactly what happened from 1917 to 1967, due to the fact that the Holy Land was placed under British Mandate in 1917 by the League of Nations and literally “belonged” to no nation.
Even after Israel’s war of independence in 1948-49, Jerusalem was still divided by a strip of land running right through the heart of the city, with Jordan controlling the eastern part of the city and Israel controlling the western part of the city. That strip of land was considered and even called “no-man’s land” by both the Israelis and the Jordanians.
It was not until the Six Day War in 1967 when the entire West Bank of the Holy Land was conquered by the Israeli army that the whole city of Jerusalem passed back into the possession of Israel. So once again the prophecy made by the rabbi 750 years previously was fulfilled to the letter.

It certainly would be significant if both 1917 and 1967 were Jubilee years, considering the significance of what happened in Jerusalem on those years. But it gets even more interesting, because Judah Ben Samuel also prophesied that during the 10th Jubilee Jerusalem would be under the control of the Jews and the Messianic “end times” would begin. If he’s right, the 10th Jubilee began in 1967 and will be concluded in 2017.

Another find is a man who was calculating the Jubilees... 2017

https://twelvebooks.wordpress.com/2010/08/14/a-prophetic-count-of-jubilees-till-2017-from-creation/

http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/aug2010/kenr814.htm

From Creation to Exodus : 50 Jubilees (2500 years)

To understand the biblical chronology of this period it is necessary to consider the key issues relating to this period : see www.cogwriter.com/six_thousand_year_plan_6000.htm for the chronology dating creation at 3983 B.C.

From Exodus (1483 B.C.) to 2017 : 70 Jubilees (3500 years)

So, 50 Jubilees (Creation to Exodus) + 70 Jubilees (Exodus to 2017) = 120 JUBILEES.

120 Jubilee’s x 50 years = 6000 years

JEWISH JUBILEE DATES in Rabbi Judah Ben Samuel’s prophecy:

1517– Ottoman Turks take Jerusalem

1917 – Balfour Declaration and Israel is declared a Jewish Homeland

1967 – Jerusalem recaptured by Israel

2017– Start of the Messianic Kingdom

I know of the great kahuna leading the pack to rebuild the temple and it has nothing to do with Christ. Nothing you are speaking of is going to happen within the age of gentiles nor in the church age. If you are refering to the Ezekian prophesies they are at the time of the Prince's rule.

I was on your endtimes forum with you for a short while , so I know you are very versed in this. I didn't participate much in that area, only when I thought it might make a difference to someone. Now to bring it up is like pulling someone out of the flames hopefully but it's also a case of watching not to get burned yourself for sure. Where your affections are so is your destination so it's not something I take lightly.

But I understand what your saying because Laodocea already is.

Laodocea where Christ is standing outside the church knocking for individuals to allow Him to come in so that He can dine with them ... He's so cool :swing:

Yes, but unfortunately I am afraid that many churchs would throw Him out

Temple building is for the wrong purpose and those who are involved are not inspired. God will have his people, but we also know the prophecy of the 1/3. The time of the gentiles is over.

If it wasn't for prophecies telling us to what to look for, we would not recognize it. As Yeshua said "When you see..." "know it is nigh"
