Here is an article that I found that I think may be helpful.

It all comes down to this: no one has the right to determine whether someone else should or should not use birth control, how many children is the “right” number for them, or whether they should have children at all. As in all things, we are not to judge others or cause brothers and sisters in Christ to stumble, spiritually speaking.

This might not be a good thing to bring up but I'm curious. The article stated that no one has the right to determine whether someone else should or should not use birth control. What about in the cases of people who have genetic issues that will definitely be passed on to offspring and knowing the quality of life would be a horrible one?

Seems that in many cases the motive for using artificial contraception is to stop a child from being conceived.

The potential for a child I guess. It's not like you get a kid every time the act is done.

True and better to have birth control than to have abortion which I consider murder

When Catholics employ the new, Pope-Approved, Roman Catholic contraceptive method of NFP, they typically do so in order to have sex but stop a child from being conceived.

Same/same.

I had to be sterilized. My ex thought 3 was enough and I got quite nuts with the third pregnancy. The women who help you said: this is enough! Don't get more! Then a month later we split up and I remarried. Glad my ex had me sterilized, I was nuts enough to get more kids. I wanted to undo it for him, but he said if it has Down syndrom you have to abort it. They have no right to live. So then I just let it be. Thank goodness, otherwise I had 2 coparentships.

awww :(

When I was pregnant with my daughter my doctor called me into his office and told me that he had to let me know there was a test available to detect birth defects. I told him I didn't want the test because I didn't care...it was my baby. He smiled and was so happy and said I didn't have to have the test :)

Edited to say my baby is fine! He just by law had to inform me the test was available.
