It depends on what we're using as a measuring tool! I think most of us would say that our teens or 20's were the best years for us physically, as far as having boundless energy and being able to do anything we wanted (spend all day hiking, stay up all night partying, never a thought about wrinkles or cellulite or gray hair). But I imagine most of you are using other things to measure with, like overall happiness, security, a sense of self, and peace of mind. I'm hoping my 40's will turn out to be my best decade yet. I will say that the latter half of my 20's was pretty epic, since I was raising my son and absolutely ADORED every moment of being his mother. We were a team, just the two of us, and every day was full of laughter, love, and adventure. It wasn't perfect, of course, life always has its struggles and trials. But I sure do miss those young, fun days of just hanging out with my awesome little boy. My son will become an adult in my 40's, and as long as he gets a healthy, safe, happy start to life, I think I'll be set to be pretty darn happy. Hubby and I hope to build a cabin in WV and run away together, and that sounds like a darn good way to start the latter half of my life
I pray and believe that my son will become a good, honest, hardworking man, and I look forward to having him and his future wife and grandkids to visit us in the mountains!
