This phrase in your post ran across my spirit like fingernails on a chalk board. "we no longer have to abide by it for our salvation"

Romans 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Our love doesn't make us His. We love Him because we are His. If we turn from him and not love him, that's our doing and we damn ourselves.

And that is what we are doingwhen we continue in sin..turning from him ..not loving him.
Repentance is not just saying sorry then carrying on doing what we said sorry for.that is a pretense of repentance.

The things you think WE do though are what our God is doing within us. Your religion excludes God? Excludes the Savior?
