The world now finds it acceptable for couples to live together before marriage but the church does not and couples get upset at the pastors and elders who want to discipline them for their worldly choice. Is the church intruding in the bedroom or doing what it's supposed to do and what do you say to these couples who put up a fuss?

The hcurch needs to take a moral stand but it also needs to love people and not bbeat them over the head, if they are in church dont you think that they already know that it is sin? The chruch should only get involved with it if they are seeking a position in the church and they should be encouraging them to get married

They just leave if they want to live in sin and either don't come anymore or find a church that doesn't care. More than enough of those in Holland. It's a sin to not even warn people. I was on dating sites, I think more than 90 percent didn't want to wait before marriage or 'depends on her', you could see that immediately in a list and skip those. It isn't even preached anymore in a lot of churches. They've got no idea that it's sin.

Anyone who has been in chruch any amount of time understands that it is sin and as I said love them and encourage them to get married. Love is the key to having them come back into the fold

Yes true, well some or a lot here really don't even know. One girl on a Dutch forum, her evangelical pastor said God thought it was okay.

Are Europeans more accepting then of pre-marital cohabitation? I do hear a lot from the 20 something crowd that they think it's fine and I shake my head and cringe. To me it's not fine.

At my former church (unsure of this current one since it's an older congregation) I do know the pastors would speak privately to those who lived together if they knew they were wanting to take communion. We ARE our brother's keeper!

I think Europe is far worse than America.
