I love windows 7, it is pretty and fast and does everything that I needed to do :)

Except make a pot of tea in the morning :smirk:

I have no idea.

But my IRC bot runs on a netbook. An Acer Aspire One

Everybody has a bot :smirk:

iBot has a bump

I don't have one. I want one now. He could play with the rabbits.
I could always say I bought him for the kids.

My first PC was a Tandy 2000:

It came with 256K RAM (expandable to 768K), a 10 MB hard drive, a 720K floppy drive, 640X400 res monitor with 16 colors, MS-DOS 2.0 and I got a daisy wheel printer as well. I had a lot of fun self-learning to write code on that machine.

I had about 600 files on my hard drive, and I knew what every single file did...now I have no idea how many files I have, nor what most of them do.

Anyone else remember using edlin to write batch files, and coding .ASM files using debug using BIOS calls and DOS interrupts?

I remember using a Tandy but I can't remember if it was my husband's (we dated as teens) or if it was in jr. high.

I remember the first PC in our house. It was a 12.5MHz thing with a 20MB hard drive and FOUR color display. The cop in the driving game had lights that flashed cyan and magenta. That was back in the day of genuinely not knowing what to do with such a huge amount of space. Now you need 100 times that just to look at the pretty desktop.

I remember edlin, I remember writing 6502 assembly on an old Apple II. Never really got into x86 assembly.
