Do I need to hear it, or is it useless to me after?

George, why would we not need it?
George, why would we not need it?
Even if you achieve this perfection, do you think it is without Yeshua and His Holy Spirit leading?Well, it's been a constant theme here at CH by a FEW of our posters that we become PERFECT, HOLY, OBEDIENT and thus sinless...... of course, such would not need anything, such would have no use for God, Christ, the Cross, the Blood, mercy, forgiveness, salvation - since they have nothing to forgive, nothing to be saved from, they have become purely divine in character.... rendering Christ irrelevant (in their own case). George has (insightfully) gotten to the point here (cleverly by circumventing the usual debate).... if we are OBEDIENT, holy, perfect, sinless (and some have argued Christians are) then... well..... his question is VERY important! IF we still need the Gospel (Christ, the Cross, the Blood, MERCY) then obvioulsy we aren't obedient, holy, perfect, sinless and their whole theology has been denounced.

I am not upset at the prospect. I long, yearn, and seek it.Of course not it is all by his doing and guidence.. He says my sheep hear my voice and i know them and they follow me.
Not sure why youd get upset at the prospect of being made holy perfect obedient and sinless.. I must laugh,
We are being transformed into the image of Christ . thus are we being made imperfecr unholy disobedient and sinful?is that what christ came to achieve in us.. I jest.
Again he said my sheep HEAR my voice and i know them and they FOLLOW me.
To hear and to follow.
To listen and to obey.
The redeemed are the obedient and the obedient are the redeemed.
And the gospel is the message of how to become the redeemed..by obeying the instructions. Then we move forward from that point of salvation.
We dont stay in egypt we dont camp by the red see ..we move forward into the life God has for us.

1. I don't think this perfection ever happens this side of heaven. "NO ONE is righteousness, no, not even one." "NO ONE is good but God exclusively." "If one claims to be without sin, he is a liar."
2. I reject the modern Jewish, Muslim and sometime Hindu soteriology that we get divine HELP so that we can save ourselves (whether such HELP is from simply "GOD" or Allah, or Jesus or the Holy Spirit). I believe that salvation (in the sense of justification, narrow) is solely and only and uniquely and exclusively the action of Jesus, who is THE one and only and exclusive and sole and unique Savior - not self (in whole or in part, now or ever).
3. Because ALL continue to fall short, continue to be imperfect, continue to NOT be the equal to God in character, morality, and love.... thus we continue to NEED the Gospel, NEED mercy, NEED Christ, NEED the Blood, NEED forgiveness, NEED the Cross. With Paul, I am "CHIEF" of sinners.... and I fall at the foot of the Cross crying: "Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy...... be merciful to me a sinner." NO MATTER how much "better" I may think I am that the idiot, sinful man who lives next door or how much LESS horrible I MYSELF think I am than the average sinner on earth. I believe we need to fall on our knees before God in HUMILITY, REPENTANCE and faith - trusting in Christ as THE (one, only, exclusive) Savior.... not scream how goody goody we are and how we don't need no Christ, we don't need no mercy, we don't need no God cuz I'M perfect, holy.

Cant disagree with any of that .I have several reason to believe that God believes we can.
Yeshua said "Go and sin no more" like it is possible.
Many in scriptures are called righteous by God Himself.
Why "overcome" if it is not possible?
Why be "transformed" if it is not enough to be sinless?
Why have a sanctuary service that will put an end to transgressions if it is not possible this side of the millenium?
Why say 144,000 will be without guile?
Ephesians 4:13 says that the spiritual gifts are given to build up the body of Christ “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
Colossians 1:28, which says, in some translations, that Paul wants to “present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.”
Colossians 4:12 Paul prays that we would “stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.” In both verses, the word perfect should be translated as “mature” or “full-grown,” in the sense of having no sin because there is no other way to be complete in all the Will of God.
I believe that God is looking for people who are willing to go the whole way with Him and reveal to the world and the Devil himself, that there are people that are wholly God's people without sin, in a sinful nature, imbued by the power of the Holy Spirit to live a sinless life. I will add that I believe the people, themselves, will not see it in themselves, and being humble will continue to seek God's Will in all matters.
