I could not decide on just one, and even though I know how tempting it is to be pious but unrealistic I refrained from voting for "The holy scriptures" and nothing else. I think that even though it would be wonderful to truly have one's conduct governed by love for God and love for God alone reality demands that I admit to cultural influences, my own opinions and values, and personal safety all of which can be wicked and selfish ... God have mercy on me, a sinner.

I'm not sure any of those fit. I act based on my understanding of right and wrong. It seems to align with biblical morality, but that's not intentional on my part. It's just how I was raised. So it's more of a family-given morality in my case.

Raised as a Christian I would like to say that for the most part my conduct is formed by scripture. I have gone back through some old school papers and boy did I preach to my teachers LOL

You do not need to choose one you can choose as many as you think are needed to describe the important motives that actually govern your conduct.

Take into account all the important things that actually govern one's conduct because pretending that only one thing does is kind of like self deceit. Saying that only the holy scriptures govern one's conduct is very likely to be untrue unless one is a very holy person.

What really matters is what the scriptures say about your conduct either good or bad. It matters little what we think it is what god knows

But the question in the poll is not "what ought to govern your conduct most?" What is being asked is what really does govern your conduct here an now in this world including good and not so good motives.

I was raised in a family where teasing and put downs was the normal way of life so I believe that made an impact more than other things concerning my conduct. The bible helps me to grow so i should also vote for that as we are constantly growing and do not remain stagnant. I would love to say my conduct is stellar but I gotta be honest with y'all and confess that I can be a little stinker.
