You mean like the middle ages where if you possessed scripture written it was a crime and the Catholic church either controlled or had great influance over governments? Or perhaps the crusades were fiction as well.

That's not the truth. Many possessed a personal copy of the holy scriptures or portions of it but one would need to be rich to do so since the copies were hand made and written on expensive vellum. There wasn't much in the way of cheap 'paper' until after Marco Polo brought back news of how it was made.

True but I know I saw something about it being illegal to possess scripture at one point during the middle ages

In southern France there was an edict against it because of the Cathars and the corrupted scriptures they passed around.

The Catholic Church approved versions in many languages; German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, various Scandinavian languages, Apparently in Middle English and possibly in early Modern English, Arabic, Greek, Polish, possibly in some other Slavic languages, Romanian, Czech, Slovak, and more.

It would be an error for the Catholic Church to approve a bible that was short by seven books and minus several chapters from Daniel and Esther.

Daniel 13 and 14 seems to be a rehash of what is already there

In Post #70 on Page 7, with reference to a web page from which visionary had obtained biblical references (http://www.the-ten-commandments.org/ten_commandments-new_testament.html), and in answer to her question “what do you think?”, said:
Of the site that you cut & pasted from? It appears to be a site dedicated to many heresies. Why did you quote from it?

I suspect that visionary was actually asking what MoreCoffee thought about the detailed references and accompanying comments and questions she had presented. Her presentation of the scripture references in Posts #64 and Post # 65 on Page 7, were in response to MoreCoffee's question in Post #63 on the same page:
How many places will you need to list all ten of the ten commandments being given to Christians as obligations? There are only ten commandments that are in the purview of this question.

But just to set the record straight, I request that MoreCoffee list for us each of the “many heresies” that he mentioned in what could be seen as a superficial throw-away line.

Thereafter, if he has a mind to, he can address each of the points presented in visionary's two posts (#64 & #65), and explain clearly how each is in error.

If MoreCoffee is unwilling or unable to do either of the above (or both), I request that he stop using deflective throwaway lines. By now they are probably doing his cause more harm than good in people's minds, in any case.

Besides, if he continues to issue his deflective throw-away lines (Posts #76 & #97 are good examples), he may arouse the ire of Readers from certain Protestant environments, who will take umbrage at seeing techniques that they customarily employ, being used against people in their camp.

No, it is saint John the Theologian who says that it is in 2 John 1:5 and 1 John 2:8 and the Lord Jesus Christ says that it is: "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another." (John 13:34)

Do you know what our Lord meant when he said that. Its not nice to quote the Lord with vague implications.
