Christ is the light of the world and Christians are urged to be in union with him consequently Christians are urged to walk in the light. Does that mean never seeing the down-side of matters?

The holy scriptures call it wickedness and sin and sometimes "works of darkness". But is seeing the "down side" of a matter to be equated with "the dark side"?

why seek it? Do you need it to show the love of God? To bring someone to salvation?

The things of earth grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace. The more I see Him, the less this world has that attracts me. So even in seeing the wickedness of this world is only a nod in the direction that the end of earth's history is drawing to a close. Seeing the "down side" just makes one want to look up more and say "Come soon"

"down side" is not the same as star wars "dark side". I don't know why so many USA Christians use the expression "dark side" when they mean something like wicked or evil or satanic.

I guss because darkness is associated with evil deeds. We walk in the light as Christians so what does that leave for evil but the dark side

What is left for evil is darkness not "the dark side" the idea expressed in "the dark side" is that darkness is one side of "the force" and that light is the other side. This is not a Christian concept.

Hmmm it says in one place that wickedness seeks darkness to hide their dees and we as Christians are called to walk in the light.
