So, do we know what the big event is, or are we still pouring over newspapers trying to come up with something?

Or perhaps hoping folks have forgotten about this.

The great thing about failed prophecy is that they never actually fail, they just "weren't fulfilled yet". Bonus points for using the example of Daniel, some of whose prophecies have also yet to be fulfilled. Lose points for realising Daniel's writings survived the test of time because he got a enough right to be taken seriously for thousands of years.

Very tricky stuff this predictive blood moon prophecy ... all sorts of lovely crazy claims and no accountability ... John Hagee will still be in business despite the failure.

The other good thing about being vague is that you don't need to be a prophet to see major economic woes ahead, so if you say enough doom and gloom stuff sooner or later something Very Bad will happen and you can claim it as a prophetic fulfilment.

Noting that none of the blood moon prophecy supporters are chiming in.

Perhaps they were disappointed as the thread topic suggests.

The blood moon views of John Hagee and some others who had similar views is erroneous and any Christians who decides to follow his teaching on such matters are following false teaching. I'd say it is a serious matter but very few who follow it would agree. They evidently think that false teaching is neither important nor likely to affect their eternal security. It's a sign of the times I think - part of a kind of religious apostasy that dresses itself as "Christianity" but is not.

They aren't. I did a search on the site for blood moon, and nothing significant came up.

It looks a little like clutching at straws as one's theology of blood-moons sinks ...

It is happening all around you. What is different is that the clock is ticking.

We heard about all these things that happened at the last blood moons. Now? You have to squint to see a possibility.

So, much ado about nothing.

im guessing pretty rare ...

yup the clock is ticking ..
but the attitude shown towards that ticking clock is also foretold.. they wil say "the master delays " all things continue as they were .. etc and they will begin to be drunked etc

and then ..SUDDENLY .... and the foolish virgins will be caught out with no oil in thier lamps .

Could you be more specific? Like, what exactly "it" is, that is apparently happening all around me, and what exactly the blood moons have to do with it.

It doesn't take a prophet to foretell economic doom and gloom given the way the banking system works based on little more than ever-growing credit and bubbles that have to burst, so looking for things that can be called "signs and wonders" that happen sometime vaguely close to other things happening does seem very much like clutching at straws.

This is so world wide, vast, and increasing at such a rapid rate that the abomination of desolation is soon upon us. All the abominations are making our earth desolate, our societies ready to crash, our environment so polluted that we soon will have a unsustainable for human life planet. Animals have been dying off in vast quantities, rumors of wars, nations are against nations....etc...

but you have heard all this... have it available on the internet to look up at how extensive, world wide, more severe than ever before, and... alas... so "dummy down" education ... you might think Hillary Clinton is a great candidate for our President. The world may seem like it will go on forever, but the Lord said there are signs of the end.

Doomsday prophets have pointed out thousands of references and evidences... Not saying they are perfect, but there are gems to be found. The truth is that when all the pieces fall in place, it will be too late for those who have been "poo pooing" it.

Passovers have come and gone.. but only one was the fulfillment of Feast Prophecies... Would you have been one who would have seen that, out of the millions who died on the cross that year, Yeshua was the Passover Lamb? How did Yeshua know it was His time? Now that takes study to figure it out. Those who were looking for the Messiah back then were students of Prophecy. There were like Anna... Luke 2:36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Simeon was another one who was looking for the Messiah... So why then? Why this time in history? What prophecies were they looking at for fulfillment of the Messiah's coming?

Luke 2:25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. 26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, 28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, 29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: 30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation, 31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; 32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

This is not what Judas thought Yeshua's role was... He was not to be the salvation, like a warrior king, to break the Roman rule, which Judas wanted. He understanding was all wrong. Yet he had listened at the feet of Yeshua for years and not picked up on that. Even knowing John the Baptist stated "Behold the Lamb of God"... what is their first clue that this is the ben Joseph and not the ben David of Messiahs?

In John 6, Yeshua speaks to a particularly stubborn group of people who are following him only for free bread, having partaken of loaves that he had broken and miraculously multiplied the previous day.

John 6:26 Jesus answered them and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves, and were filled.

How many are in church for the social aspects? How many are there for the prestige? How many are there for the potlucks? How many do not want to hear about the signs being fulfilled and the day of judgment is coming?
