Who is the Antichrist

There has been a lot of speculation on who is the man referred to as Antichrist. We were discussion it on the other forum. Some think he might be a Muslim. some think he may be from the tribe of Dan. Some think he will be European. This video was posted, and it is a great presentation, but I wanted you all to watch it and give an opinion.

1. "Anti-Christ" is mentioned five times in four Scripture.

1 John 2:18, "Children, it is the last hour,and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come."

1 John 2:22, "Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies that Father and the Son."

1 John 4:3, "and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not form God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already."

2 John 7, "For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not confess the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh; Such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist."



2. What Scripture tells us about the anti-chirst....

A. In the 90's, there were many antichrists.

B. Such is a liar as such denies that Jesus is the Christ, the Father and the Son.; such denies coming of Jesus in the flesh.

C. Such does not confess that Jesus comes from God.

With all due respect, IMO, I did. I turned off the video within a few short minutes when I realized they aren't talking about the anti-christ. My response was meant to convey that. Sorry.

This chapter of this book represent's Saul/Paul's doctrine of anti-Christ. It teaches believers to look forward to a coming "man of lawlessness" who will set himself up in the temple and proclaim himself to be god. This figure is the big bad anti-christ enchilada, according to Saul/Paul. He's not here yet, he's coming.

I don't personally believe that, I think anti-christ and anti-christs existed from the very beginning in accord with John's testimony.

Perhaps... but Paul says nothing of an/the anti-Christ. Which has the qualities noted in post #2.

Because it quickly became apparent that the video in question was not addressing the anti-Christ (but claimed to), I ceased to watch it.

It is possible, perhaps, that this "man of lawlessness" is/will be AN "anti-Christ" but I'd question if such is THE Anti-Christ. It seems to ME that perhaps some PEOPLE are equating the "anti-Christ(s)" of John with the "man of lawlessness" of Paul, but that would be PEOPLE having that opinion, not Scripture so stating.

I couldn't watch the full 50 minutes but the parts I did watch seemed to be pointing at Islam for the source of the anti-Christ and Turkey as being the country where he'll come from. I'm not sure I agree or disagree with that since it doesn't matter to me one way or the other since I know how the story ends :happy-run2:

Honesty, I really don't have a lot of inclination to watch a video that's nearly an hour. Can you give a summary of what the presenter is saying, what case they are looking to make?
