reference 1John 3 .

yes that is what it says .. so if you continue in repeating the same action which you know to be sinful -you need to look seriously into your salvation with trembling . because the lord Jesus did not die on the cross to leave us as prisoners languishing in our sins and feigning repentance . he came to make us new , deliver us from sins power so that we are free to no longer sin . a christian life with out repentance is hypocrisy.

if you do not believe that the lord Jesus can and does give us full power over sin when you receive the Holy Spirit ..then your not believing makes you an unbeliever and you need to seriously look into your salvation with trembling because the unbeliever does not enter the Kingdom of God .

if you read the word of God but go your way and do not DO the word of God because the lord tells us to be doers of the word and not hearers only.

if you do not abide in the lord Jesus (in prayer and life and love and obedience ) then you cannot bring forth fruit . Fruit is souls saved ..fruit is not doing nice things . when the lord told Adam and eve in the natural realm to "be fruitful " he did not go around doing nice things for folks .. he meant Multiply ..
the same - when the lord Jesus tells us in the Spiritual to be Fruitful ..he did not mean go around doing nice little things ..he meant Multiply .. bear fruit .. and so prove you are my disciples the Lord Jesus said . if you're not bearing the fruit of souls saved .. your not bearing fruit . and a branch that does not bear fruit .. will
be cut off and gathered up and burned .

these things are spoken by the Lord Jesus and recorded for very good reason . the lord is coming and he will gather the wheat into his barn,, but the chaff he will gather and it will be cast into outer darkness forever .

many arguments attempting to refute the word of God were raised elsewhere and the word of God was never (nor ever wil be ) refuted

this question is asked of any and all and no reply can be seriously considered unless these questions are answered .

is this paragraph true .. or not ?

see how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him. Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.
Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God. And you know that Jesus came to take away our sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in him will not sin. But anyone who keeps on sinning does not know him or understand who he is.
Dear children, don’t let anyone deceive you about this: When people do what is right, it shows that they are righteous, even as Christ is righteous. But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil. Those who have been born into God’s family do not make a practice of sinning, because God’s life is in them. So they can’t keep on sinning, because they are children of God. So now we can tell who are children of God and who are children of the devil. Anyone who does not live righteously and does not love other believers does not belong to God....

is this true or not ??

For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.---"

is this true or not .. ?
?

But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?

is this true or not ...
?
For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?"

you refer to the same letter of john some of the above text in post #2 is from .in his original letter he did not divide it into chapters and verses . read it as one complete letter as that is how he wrote it .

you see people do this quite a lot on this topic ..they rush to defend "one " sin .. yest they forget to become a sinner we did not break the perfect law of God a lot of times we broke it once . and that was it ..it was broken .
that is how we fell short . and that is what the lord jesus saves us from .. not only does he save us from the truth that we sinned but he sets us free from the power it had over us .. free so that we no longer are compelled by that old master
all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God .. but christ has redeemed us and reconciled us to God .
we must always approach the word with honesty . he does not say a"ll in christ "remain in the service and practice of sin from then on " he says all have sinned " he is pointing out that there is NONE that do not require salvation - but im confident that you fully understand this .

I also fully understand people's struggle with this topic - the adversary wants nothing more than for us to NOT believe what the lord Jesus has accomplished for us on the cross ,the adversary does not want us to understand that we simply do not have to sin any more . he wants us to remain doubting and subservient to him.. just becaseu the lord has conquered him ,doesn't mean he wants to let his captives go . we are told to "resist him" .. it simply means we have the authority to tel him to "get out of our face " with his lies .

remember .. and this is VERY important ..read carefully every word in the text of 1john but read it as a whole and se that he is making point and reaffirming that point .don't be fooled into accepting singular sentence and stopping there .note particular terms used by both john and paul and peter -all speaking the word of god by the SAME HOLY SPIRIT

ie .practicing sin, continued sin ,willfull sin . i used to use the same arguments many others use but that was when i actually doubted i could ever stop a sin i seemed to be trapped in.. until the lord showed me VERY clearly that my entrapment to it was not the adversaries doing .. nor was it the lords Doing . the adversary was lying to me about the freedom JESus had given me and the lord JEsus was telling me "I have set you free" and the lord jesus told me my entrapment was my own doing for i kept serving what i loved the most ..i cried and asked the lord to help me to love him more then the sin (for he said if you love me you will obey me ) and he said to me follow me and do what i tel you to do - and from that moment i began to listen to the holy Spirit and ignore the flesh ..and from that moment that sin ceased utterly and completely ceased and not only was I free , but i now walked in His freedom to walk in the spirit and not after the flesh -it is THAT SIMPLE .
the devil does not want believers to actually be believers - but the devil Jesus said , is a liar .

the lord JEsus came to set us free from Sin and its power and its sickness and its death -this is the VERY thing he did for us on that cross .he did not FAIL to do it . once a man has been set free from a wicked master ..it is his choice whether he continues to serve that wicked master any more - it is time for all believers to BE BELIEVERS not just say they are with words but behave as if it is not true .

but PLEASE -read post#2 and answer it .

one thing i have observed about the Grace of God is that there are those that know about it and then there are those that have actually experienced it and the difference is very telling .

those that "know about it " find it a useful topic whereby they can intellectually though temporarily appease the conscience .. temporarily because they return and do the sin again and thereby need to appease the conscience all over again and again .they are slaves to sin -the mercy of God reaches out to them in the gospel with the command to repent and follow JEsus and they remain in that imprisoned state of serving sin and being under the consequence of the death it brings .

Then there are those who have experienced the Grace of God -they have been broken to the point that they have cried out to be saved from the heart and god has graciously made the way open to do so .and they have received that grace for grace ..such is the magnitude of gratitude by these who KNOW by experience .the grace of god rescuing them from their servitude to sin that they have no desire to return to that servitude, but only desire to serve our new master who so graciously saved us from it .

then there are those that were saved from sin by the grace of god but do not have any gratitude for that salvation and they display this by trampling the grace of God underfoot and returning to the very behaviors from which the lord so graciously set them free and so display disdain toward the grace of god displayed in the lord Jesus .these are blemishes at our feasts, in dire need of sincere repentance or they will perish .

is it not an oddity of the strangest sort that so many claiming to be believers i the bible are seemingly unwilling to declare Whether what is plainly written in it is true or not

of course it is true .and being that it is true it causes great discomfort of conscience for those who are conscious of continued practice of sin in their lives -yet i read the same text (and i know may others do )with only a sense of peace and Joy for i am reconciled to God and no longer at enmity to him .

many are so fast to quote 1 John 1:9.. and that verse in its context of the entire letter john wrote is also absolutely true .. but if we believe it is ,then instead of fighting in opposition to 1 john 3 -we wil instead DO 1 john 1 :19 and then there is absolutely no problem -we are then cleansed from ALL unrightousness and can remain that way

unless we display our repentance is false by then slapping god in the face and going back to practice the sin again ..and so show we are not of god . which is what John goes on to explain in chapter 3 of the same letter (which originally has no chapters or verses dividing it up)

all the word of God is TRUE and he is faithful to it :)

it is made stunningly clear through out the word of God that continuance in the practice of sin is not , has never been and never wil be tolerated

Revelation 2:5
Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent.

2 Peter 2:21
For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

Luke 9:62
Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

2 Peter 2:20
For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.

Revelation 3:3 ESV
Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you

Galatians 4:9
But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be once more?

Moses met with Yeshua on Mount Sinai, and received the covenant from Him. Remember it points to Him because that is what it is designed for.
Act 7:38 This is he,[Yeshua] that was in the church [tabernacle] in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him [Moses] in the mount Sina, [Mount Sinai] and with our fathers:[the other seventy who received the Holy Spirit] who received the lively oracles to give unto us:

Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this man seeketh mischief: for he sent unto me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not.

Been reading from 1 Kings lately.

I apologize.
The full context of Kings as an ardent lesson may help further explain the simplicity of my post.

All kings failed in the flesh except of course the one we Glorify.
It may be a mystery to some but Yeshua put forth many parables. What is a bond servant to do?

Luke 17King James Version (KJV)

17 Then said he unto the disciples,
It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.
4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.
6 And the Lord said,
If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

A servant plowing a field? What does the Holy Spirit bring into remembrance on this?
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle,
will say unto him by and by,
when he is come from the field,
Go and sit down to meat?

8 And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

9 Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him?
I trow not.
10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say,
We are unprofitable servants:
we have done that which was our duty to do.

11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them,
Go shew yourselves unto the priests.
And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus answering said,
Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 And he said unto him,
Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said,
The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

22 And he said unto the disciples,
The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

32 Remember Lot's wife.
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

Forgivness
After the strong man is bound
The Valley of Dry Bones
…7So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold, a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to its bone. 8And I looked, and behold, sinews were on them, and flesh grew and skin covered them; but there was no breath in them. 9Then He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they come to life."'"…

…11So He said, "Go forth and stand on the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD was passing by! And a great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 12After the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing.

Job 4:16
It stopped, but I could not tell what it was. A form stood before my eyes, and I heard a hushed voice:

To those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, with all who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Psalm 46King James Version (KJV)

46 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

To the Israel of God

Zechariah 4:6
So he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: 'Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,' says the LORD Almighty.

is this true or not ...?
For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?"
Did Moses receive the knowledge of truth? Did after he received this knowledge..sin? Is not his body refuted by Michael? Did he not appear with Elijah on the mount of Transfiguration? Was Moses forgiven? What I am getting at is that the hard line may not be God's line. Remember the fury of the fire is reserved for Satan and the adversaries. It is not in the failures but in the overcomers that God looks for His people. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. God is both merciful and just. It is when we take sides with the devil and his lies that we step over the line and can get carried away by every wind of doctrines and start living a lie which will take us down the broad road to destruction.

im not presenting a hard line - im presenting what is written ;)

because of what the Lord jesus has accomplished on the cross it is not a heavy burden to bear for we "take his yoke upon us ..it is light"

it is no more difficult to cease the repetitive practice of a sin , then it is to believe in the lord Jesus . when we are free to choose the choice is made easy -we wil choose what we love the most .

sometimes i think people complicate it making ti sound like it is some arduous task of work to "not sin" . but it is in truth (if we have been set free and made new in Christ) as easy as choosing between tea or coffee .. you will choose what you like the most .
does any one find it an arduous task when asked ..would you like tea or coffee .. do they go ouhhh strive sweat struggle groan strain ? or do they simple say "coffee" because thats what they like the most ? they do in deed make a simple decision and act upon it .. it is what a free person does - chooses . this is what christ has accomplished for us -he freed us from sins power made us new clothed us in HIS righteousness cleansed us forgave us and then he said " now go and carry on sinning as much as you want it doesn't matter ... -OUHH wait .. -haha (thrown in for humor ) NO he never said that ,he never could . he clothes us in robes of righteousness its up to us to walk worthy of them now that he had accomplished that .

let me answer the question in regard to the scriptures presented earlier

are they true .. YES they are absolutely TRUE .

what then does it mean to a person who continues to practice sin ? well it means what it says .." that person does not know Know God and when the end comes the lord wil say depart from me i DO NOT KNOW YOU you worker of iniquity " it does not mean they canot be saved -it is gods wil to saved them and he has announced his salvation to us in Christ and he has also announced how it is to be appropriated - "repent ,be baptised and you wil receive the Holy Ghost "

we don't repent then renege - that is not following jesus that is turning back away from him -repentance is a maintained stance of being turned TOWARD the lord .
a person cannot willfully Sin unless they willfully turn their back of Christ in order to "do the sin " -elsewhere i used adultery as an example . it got under some folks skin .

can a persons husband or wife lay with another person while being faithful to their wife .. NO
nither can we sin while being faithful to the lord JESUS ..

if our husband or wife repents ,how do we know their repentance is genuine ? simple answer --they now remain faithful .
how do we know their repentance is false and their heart is not toward us any more ? -simple answer -they keep repeating their unfaithfulness .

that is all the scripture is saying -
the news remains GOOD NEWS -NO one has to remain a slave to sin -JEsus can and does set us free .he died on the cross to accomplish that . if we believe in him we wil turn away from our old ways ..turn to him and obey his instructions .

the reference to moses not withstanding - moses was firstly not under the new covenant "yet " But by faith . secondly Moses lived a repentant life . he did not go on to "practice sin" .

-note , there is a huge difference when a person messes up on a rare singular occurrence and knowingly sins - john 1: 14 applies . as opposed to a person who repeatedly practices that sin . the scriptures simply say .that person does not know god . the first one does because he/she repents and does not do it again, cannot do it again ,because the nature of christ within them cannot and they walk in obedience to his nature . not the will of the flesh .

Disciple, discipline, focus....

But seek ye first his kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Be not therefore anxious for the morrow: for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
