Over the decades we've had "experts" tell us what foods are good and what foods are bad. These foods change as they do more research, and sometimes we are going back to those foods that were once deemed "bad". How can we trust these experts?

Man's wisdom changes over time, meaning one thing today and another the next.

But God's does not.

You'll not go wrong by following as closely as possible the dietary laws God gave in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.

Violating them is not a sin that will condemn you to hell or anything like that, in fact you may find that ignoring them can actually help you get you to heaven sooner.

If something is natural it's probably better than something artificial. Eat things in moderation.

I sometimes wonder how we survived as a species for so long without the experts offering their endless blatherings about how we should eat this much of this and so much of that and not have something else more than twice a week and so on.
