I still find it bizarre that Harris has come so far. The one who dropped out of the 2020 primaries before they'd really even got started, presumably because she realised her campaign was going nowhere. Then the party of diversity, having shaken off the kinda-sorta black woman, proceeded to shake off the fake Cherokee and the gay man before settling on another old angry white guy, who decided his running mate had to be a black woman because, well, reasons I guess. So the candidate nobody wanted got thrust to the top of the ticket.
Then for the 2024 the party that cares so much about democracy voted for Biden to carry their torch only for him to stand aside and Harris to be crowned pretty much just for being there. And then they blather on about protecting democracy some more. It's truly bizarre how a candidate can go from falling at the first hurdle to a coronation, all the while lecturing about democracy.
