Who are the 'locusts' of Revelation 9 that are loosed out of the bottomless pit for the end?

I'll give you a hint of where to find out who the 'locusts' of Revelation 9 are. The Book of Joel in The Old Testament. That is where God first used the idea of locusts as a symbol for those who attack like an army.

That kind of response doesn't deserve anything. Get it on your own, especially since I gave a strong clue already, but one must not be too lazy to go study it.

How do you know you got it on your own if we don't even know what answer you think is correct? You say his response doesn't deserve anything yet you didn't hesitate to offer a rude and inconsiderate response to his question which you clearly think it deserved. Having knowledge of the Bible isn't something to be lorded over others as it should be shared with each other to build each other up not tear each other apart.

Here is the text, don't they sound like demons?:

Fifth Trumpet: The Locusts from the Bottomless Pit

9 Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the [a]bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. 3 Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 And [b]they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. 6 In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

7 The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. 8 They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. 9 And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle. 10 They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months. 11 And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is [c]Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name [d]Apollyon.

12 One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things.

What's the reason that no one here cares to look at the Book of Joel where God first used the 'locust' metaphor?

Joel 1:1-7
1 The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.

2 Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?

3 Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.

4 That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.

5 Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.

6
For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

7 He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree: he hath made it clean bare, and cast it away; the branches thereof are made white.
KJV

The locusts of Revelation 9 are defined by the locust metaphor God first used in the Book of Joel, which is about the end. They represent "a nation" that comes upon the land and upon His people, and they work in 4 stages, just like the development of a real locust. Yet they do not represent real locusts as used in Rev.9, because that would mean God creates literal monsters, and believing that is superstitious.

The locusts are false priests that work deception, because Rev.9 shows their power is in their MOUTHS.

Rev 9:17-19
17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and
out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.

18 By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

19 For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
KJV

What comes out of one's MOUTH? Words, and in the case of those locusts, it means LIES that cause deception. So how are the deceived in today's world being deceived by Satan's host working on earth? By the four dynasties, Political, Financial, Education, and Religion. Thus the four stages represented by the developing locust of Joel 1:4.
