Donald Trump said on Saturday if he does not win November's presidential election it will mean the likely end of American democracy.

The Republican presidential candidate, speaking to supporters in Ohio, made the claim after repeating his baseless assertion that his 2020 election defeat to Democratic President Joe Biden was the result of election fraud.

During an outdoor speech that was whipped by strong winds and punctuated by some profane language, Trump predicted that if he does not win the Nov. 5 general election, American democracy will come to an end.

"If we don't win this election, I don't think you're going to have another election in this country," Trump said.

Well, rumor has it that the illegals entering this country will be given a right to vote soon. If that's true, then we the people won't be voting, it will be the people who are residents of other countries. Is that the process we really want? The ones who didn't respect our laws enough to enter this country properly to have a say in what goes on here?

It's curious to think that legal immigrants don't get to vote but illegal immigrants do.

No, but considering that we have a political party which is already engaged in or working on packing the Supreme Court, doing away with the Electoral College, kicking the candidates of the opposition party off the ballot for alleged but unproven "crimes," jailing opponents' supporters, legalizing "vote harvesting," and replacing "one-man-one vote" democratic elections with a "top four" system that lets the top vote getter be defeated by votes cast for the candidates finishing in second or third place...

why would we think that giving non-citizens the right to vote would be any different??

I like Trump when he says nothing. When he opens his mouth, well, .....

No, I think things will be okay if he doesn't win.

I disagree because the country is already gone. That is the sad thing , It's not going to matter if Trump or Biden wins.

In Albion's post #4 he accurately described the country in the grips of the liberal Democratic party. Does anyone really trust the election this November? Of course not.

We have become a banana republic, where elections are just a facade to bolster credibility to the one elected. But, why not? It's banana republic immigrants we give priority to. When you flood your country with third world peoples, you become a third world country.

It's still my belief that Democrats won't let Trump win, no matter what. The stakes are too high and the Democrats are capable of and will stoop to anything to stop him. But even if he did win, you would see greater resistance from the Democrats throughout his term then we saw in his first term. And it most likely would result in real rioting in the streets.

I'm certainly going to vote for Trump, if he makes it to the election. But he can't save the country. It's already gone.

My opinion.
