Should you only pay for half the meal?

If you only eat half your meal at a restaurant and ask the server to wrap the other half up (for lunch the next day) and the server "forgets" and discards your food instead, should you only pay for half the meal? (Why/Why Not)

I'm not sure the meal should be half off, but because of the mistake, a good discount should be given (and no tip).

I totally agree. Bring me the box!! You never know if anything fell on the ground and I like the compartmentalized boxes where I can separate my foods as well and not have them mixed into one space.

It's very seldom an issue for me but I agree, I'd want to put it in the box myself.
