Do you think this should be the year the US votes in a woman President?

Nope. looks like it will be a Biden vs. Trump rematch. Unless Biden passes away and Harris takes over for a while

I don't think it's even useful to say "it should be (time) for a woman President". If a woman is the best candidate she should be elected. I'm rather weary of the growing obsession with it being "time" for someone to be elected based on characteristics we're endlessly told don't matter.

Unless Biden stands down and Harris takes the reins it's hard to see how it would happen anyway. The Democrats seem set to put Biden at the top of their ticket and the Republicans seem set to put Trump at the top of theirs, so how a woman gets elected President isn't clear. If Biden and/or Trump end up not being the nominee it's less clear what might happen - I don't see much sign that the Democrats regard Harris as being electable and the only Republican candidate who has any traction looks like Haley, and she's losing every which way to Trump. Whether she might be more attractive to the moderate Democrats and floaters is another matter but it seems likely it will be irrelevant if Trump takes the nomination.

It could possibly have been the year for the election of a woman president, but there is only one scenario which would produce one.

That would be if the Democratic Party were to shelve Biden in one way or another and then nominate Michelle Obama. She is unlikely to want that, but this would be the only way that a woman could be elected this year.

If Biden were to die or step aside or be removed from office, Kamala Harris would become president, but that wouldn't be by an election, and it's quite unlikely that she would ever be made the nominee of the Party.

I think it's LONG PAST time to end the sexism.... this idea that GENDER makes a person better or worse than someone else, that GENDER is a factor (even key factor) for a job (with some exceptions where nudity or whatever is involved). We need to END the the kindergardener-like discrimination based on gender.

I like Rev. Dr. MARTIN LUTHER King's point that in employment (etc.) people should NOT be "judged" based on outward things such as race, color, gender, ethnicity but rather, instead, on CHARACTER, integrity, qualifications. Whether male or female, black or white, etc. Don't make a deal of gender or race BUT on character and qualifications.

For good measure the party that increasingly insists on promoting women to the highest positions can't even define what a woman actually is.
