When dining out is there something that a waiter or waitress may do that really irks you?
As long as they take the order and make sure drinks are refilled there's not much else I'm overly bothered about.
A waiter who shows disinterest during the meal but suddenly wants to be really friendly when it's time to fill in the tip is unlikely to be happy with their tip. A waiter who shows no interest in my table but lots of interest in other tables is also unlikely to be happy with their tip.
On the flip side the kind of waiter who is attentive without being intrusive and keeps everything topped up is the kind of waiter I like to have. They'll get a good tip and possibly an email to the company commending them.
