Do you think technology and social media have had an impact on the perception and awareness of discrimination? (I so, how)

I remember reading an opinion piece that pointed out that the demand for discrimination exceeds the supply, so there's an ongoing attempt to manufacture more of it.

I don't think it's so much an awareness of discrimination as an awareness that claiming to be offended can be an effective way to shut something down. Because, you know, who cares about facts if something feels like it shouldn't be there?

Sure. How could technology and social media not have made an impact?

And how, you ask? Well, for one thing, they probably are responsible for having made the issue bigger and more likely to be misrepresented and misused than otherwise would have been the case.
