Politics involves understanding how humans behave and how you can tweak your way to getting them to back you for different political positions. You will have to do a lot to achieve this including being a master at manipulating people. Do you see politics as a dirty game because of all of these?

I trust no politicians anymore. I used to have high respect for them, but the more I learn, the more I distrust them. There was a man I worked for briefly who decided to go into politics and he was such a kind soul and then I saw how he turned on the town because of money.

Maybe to some degree, but when people say that politics is a dirty game, they more often are referring to how the elected (or appointed) officials who make the decisions that rule our lives go about the business of legislating, etc.

There are some hijinks that get played during a campaign, but the opponent and the people themselves can and do challenge the lies, exaggerations, and impossible promises. And then they vote any way they choose afterwards. BUT what our officials DO in office after they've been elected is another matter.
