Look what they found in China...

dragon-fossil.jpg

This “China dragon fossil” has a pair of horns above its head and its shape resembles the legendary animal often described in books and stories. It was recently exhibited in the Xinwei Ancient Life Fossils Museum in Anshun, Guizhou.

Historically the Chinese have worshiped dragons. So I believe that it is real.We are going to be seeing some things in these last days that are going to shock and amaze us. I have always wondered about these things and whether any of the stories about them were to be believed. Tales of dragons are alive and well, except here in the U.S. But we here dismiss other peoples' history. But the Bible speaks of the fiery flying serpent and the dragon. I think it speaks of this type of creature which has not been seen in a long time.

Ecc. 3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

If this is real, expect to see them in the skies in a few years since man has mastered cloning technology.

That was my thought, if it's genuine then it's definitely interesting. But with just a picture and a story from a far away land it could be anything from a real fossil to a clever mockup. It reminds me of the picture of a spider about eight feet across crawling on the side of a house, where if you look at the picture you realise that the spider is massively enlarged and is really no more than a couple of inches across.

As Abraham Lincoln is quoted as saying, "the trouble with the internet is you never know what's true".

The dragon fossil was found in Guanling County, Anshun City in 1996, in a good condition. It's length is 7.6 meters, head is 76 cm, neck is 54 cm, mouth 43 cm, body 2.7 meters, and tail is 3.7 meters.

The dragon’s head is in a triangle shape, with widest part of the head 32 cm. The horns project from the widest part of the head, and are symmetrical and 27 cm. They are a little bit curved and tilted, which makes the fossil look very much like the legendary dragon. They figure that this China dragon was a reptile animal living in the ocean in Triassic Period about 200 million years ago. It was an amphibian. It spent most of its time living in water, although sometimes it walked on land. It also laid eggs on land. The animal lived on fish and small reptile animals. How they figured this out I will never know, but it also fits with the lothian from the Bible that was amphibious.

There are so many creatures that are extinct today that we cannot imagine creatures that actually look completely different from the ones we have had the privilege to see.

Indeed. Some time back I read an interesting theory (I can't for the life of me remember the details of why the author thought it was sound) that essentially said Leviathan was what we'd call a dinosaur.
