Matthew 6:34

Take therefore no thought for the morrow:
for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

1. In this commandment,
what is Jesus commanding, the children of God, to obey in their everyday life?
How do you understand these words of the Word of Life?

2. How do you disobey this commandment in your everyday life?

3. How do you obey this commandment, in your everyday life?

4. What happens to you when you disobey this commandment, in your everyday life?

5. What happens to you when you obey this commandment, in your everyday life?

6. What is the purpose or the objective of this commandment, in your everyday life,
given to the children of God to always obey, by Jesus the Christ?

John 6:27

Labour not for the meat which perisheth,
but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life,
which the Son of man shall give unto you:
for him hath God the Father sealed.

What happens to you, when you allow yourself, to give thoughts,
to anything other than the present point in time? Do you know?

If so what is it?

What happens to you, anytime day or night,
that you do anything, which does not endureth unto everlasting life,
which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed?

Do you know? If so what is it?

The purpose and objective of this thread
is to call to your attention and awareness of the consequences
of being disobedient in your life, to even one of the commandments of Jesus Christ.
And to maybe provoke you to try to repent and obey any one of them.
This is what I do everyday all day long for Jesus. I live and teach and preach,
His commandments to anyone who will listen to it.

You will find, that if you just take one commandment
of Jesus Christ and start to obey it, you will witness a change
that will take place in your everyday doings that will lead
to nothing but good things for you, both spiritually and physically.
And the more you obey them, and more of them, the more you
will fall in love with Jesus. Don't believe me...

Try it and see what will happen for you.

The more you deny them and disobey them, the more
the misery of sin will bother you nonstop. And it will keep
getting worse and worse, accumulating upon your life till you die.

Are you part of that group that believes that you have to completely be sinless by your own doing in order to achieve salvation?

I'm with the Christian group that believes that we can't be perfect enough as God's law requires, so Jesus died for our sins and we are forgiven.

and yet the stated purpose of this forum is "discussion"--something you won't engage in.

As a result, you don't actually "preach" and your theories aren't provocative.

I will try harder for you. It may take some time for me to make the adjustment.

John 15:10
If ye keep my commandments,
ye shall abide in my love;
even as I have kept my Father's commandments,
and abide in his love.

There is only one way
that anyone can receive the love of Jesus.
That is you have to obey His commandments.
That is the only way you can abide in Him.

True or false?

If you are not abiding in the love of God
then the wrath of God is upon you.

True or false?

So you deny the cross and forgiveness of sins?

So you deny the cross and forgiveness of sins?
No,

I deny myself,
and carry my own cross,
and follow Jesus, who is the light.

Luke 9:23

And he said to them all,
If any man will come after me,
let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily,
and follow me.

When I deny myself, and pick up my own cross,
and follow Jesus, I am walking in the light.
And in the light the blood of Jesus Christ
his Son cleanseth me from all sin.

1 John 1:7

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light,
we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ
his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

So now tell me how the cross and His forgiveness is part of what you claim is salvation.

Yes. That really is the issue.

In theory, we could imagine humans appeasing a righteous god in all sorts of ways. We read how various primitive people throughout history--and some religions of our own time--approached the issue, but sacrificing virgins or destroying animals and/or possessions or persecuting everybody who dares not to acclaim that same god WILL NOT make men right with the Almighty!

Not according to Christ and the religion he founded, anyway.

And that matters, since this is a Christian forum.

Rather clearcut, isn't it?

I know this is very clear cut:

Matthew 5:48
Be ye therefore perfect,
even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

So I was right in post #8 that you think YOU have to be sinless to get to heaven. Haven't you heard the Gospel that Jesus died on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins? Believe in him for eternal life!
