For instance, what is a sin for one person might not be for another, depending on circumstances. I would love to learn more about this chapter that is becoming quite special to me.

That's not at all what Romans 12 says about sin:

A Living Sacrifice​

12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Humble Service in the Body of Christ​

3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position.[c] Do not be conceited.

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. 19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[d] says the Lord. 20 On the contrary:

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”[e]

That's not at all what Romans 12 says about sin:

It's what Romans 14:23 says about food, which I have always found weird.

23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is [a]sin.

Imagine you're raised Jewish orthodox and become christian and still believe eating a saucage is sin. Then you sin when you eat one, but if you believe it's okay, you can just eat them. That's sad. There was a guy on christian forums years ago who became christian. First he was atheist, but he was Jewish, so he thought that eating pig for him was sin, but not for gentiles, cause Acts says not to bother the gentiles with that.

Ah wait. Maybe I get it now. It's sin to go back under the law, but not to eat saucage.

Imagine you're raised Jewish orthodox and become christian and still believe eating a saucage is sin. Then you sin when you eat one, but if you believe it's okay, you can just eat them. That's sad.

It would indeed be "sad" if the person did not completely convert to Christianity but somehow held onto elements of his former religion.

The meaning of this verse is not that it's a sin to eat food--or some foods--but rather that eating certain food under certain circumstances would be sinful. And what are the circumstances? It's that the person is still believing that this eating is forbidden but then going ahead and eating it anyway.

A well-informed Christian would know that there's nothing sinful about the meal, therefore there's no decision being made by him to defy God and engage in a sinful act.

I've been reflecting on the Book of James lately. It's so practice and straightforward, urging myself to live out my faith through action. The call to be a doer of the Word rather than just a hearer resonates deeply with me.

James' teachings on patience, faith, and the power of the tongue challenge me daily. His reminders about caring for the marginalized and putting my faith into practice inspires me to show love in tangible ways. I appreciate how this book encourages me to grow and mature in my walk with Christ.

I am always reading the whole Bible all the way through or the whole New Testament. God uses such an approach gives me the understanding of the wholeness of God's Word.
