What did Lord Jesus mean when He said...

John 3:6
6 That which is born of the flesh is ; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
KJV

And how does that relate to the following verses?

1 Cor 15:49-50
49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
KJV

2 Cor 5:1-4
5 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
KJV

Here Jesus was explaining to Nicodemus what he meant when telling him that he must be born again. It wasn't that he must be put back into his mother's womb (which Nicodemus had wondered about) but that the reference was to a SPIRITUAL rebirth (baptism).
And how does that relate to the following verses?

1 Cor 15:49-50

Here Jesus is addressing an entirely different matter, the coming of the kingdom, which is a transcendent reality, not something akin to the governments of the rulers of this world.

What Lord Jesus was trying... to show Nicodemus was about the 2 different dimensions written of in God's Word, this 'earthly' one, and the Heavenly one that exists behind a veil. They are 2 distinct and separate operations from each other.

In Ecclesiastes 12:5-7, we are shown there is a "silver cord" existing that ties our flesh body with our spirit. And when that cord is severed, then the 2 parts go back to where they came from.

In Matthew 10:28, Jesus said to not fear those who can kill our flesh body, but not our soul, but to fear Him Who can destroy both body (spirit body) with soul at the "second death". So that has to mean that our soul continues back to God also with our spirit, at death of our flesh body.

Thus our flesh body is not the 'real' us, but only a shell our spirit and soul are given to live in for this present world.

It was in this respect that Lord Jesus was showing Nicodemus in John 3 how our spirit with soul is like the wind, we cannot see it but we know it exists, but because of this present world of bounds that God has set we cannot see beyond the veil of this world, unless God allows it (like Isaiah 6; 2 Corinthians 12; etc.).

In 2 Peter 3, Peter explains the existence of 3 world earth ages. And he shows that this present world is preserved to be destroyed by fire in our near future. But God has promised His servants a new heavens and a new earth, so we are to keep in mind how temporary this present world is, and not get attached to the things of this world, but look to the next.
