A group of religious leaders who support abortion rights filed a lawsuit Thursday challenging Missouri's abortion ban, saying lawmakers openly invoked their religious beliefs while drafting the measure and thereby imposed those beliefs on others who don't share them.

"Religious leaders" doesn't necessarily mean Christian. Thou shalt not kill remains in place and abortion takes the life of a baby. Satan's influence on people can even sway Christians to think it's okay.

Remember, lots of religious leaders supported slavery too. Just because someone is labeled "a religious leader" doesn't mean they are right.

When Rowe v Wade happened, Southern Baptists supported it. Even now, many non evangelicals often don’t agree. Whatever the image of God means, it can’t apply until there’s a working neocortex, which is about 2/3 of the way through pregnancy.

I wonder where that might be found in Scripture, especially since ours is a religion that believes a God who has told us that he "knew" us and commissioned us even before he formed us in the womb?

(Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”)
