I think ALL this is just silly, simply absurd. And is yet another example of how the Left ignores science.
Gender is a matter of science, of biology, of DNA. It's an objective, scientific FACT that can be objectively PROVEN. But if someone doesn't want to get the science proof, they can lower their pants and take a look. That IS their gender. Sorry, it's just a fact. It's SCIENCE (and we all know how much liberals hate science).
Now, one can CHOOSE to IDENTIFY as a bunny rabbit or a butterfly. But that's an entirely different matter and it does not change the science. Anymore than one choosing to identify as a prince or policeman or emperor of the world changes science. Their gender IS what it IS. It's objective It's a matter of science, not "choice."
And it's not irrelevant. We have a story here locally of a teenage girl (a minor) who was showering at a fitness center when suddenly joining her was a middle aged man - naked as could be - and (understandably) she was horrified. But when she complained to the management, she was told that the man identified as a female and thus was welcome to use the women's locker room and shower - there was nothing they could do about it under California law.

True enough. In their own language, they are "science deniers." But it's interesting how the pet insults and slanted language that they specialize in is beginning to catch up to them.
For example, "My body, my choice" and "Reproductive rights." Neither makes sense when compared with the policies that each one of them is supposed to describe.
