Do you think sinning is unavoidable?

Try to understand. We die because we are full of sin. But Jesus tells us to pray that God would lead us not into temptation. Why? Because as John says, the born-again cannot sin. Even though it kills us and we fight against sinning 24/7.

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:” 1 John 2:1 (KJV 1900)

If, not when.

We die because of original sin...Adam and Eve sinned and began the fall. Jesus reconciles us to the Father and we have life (by grace through faith), not because we try to stop sinning. You're preaching works righteousness and not Jesus or the cross.

Paul says, whatever is not of faith is sin. Cub scouts sin when they help old ladies if not in faith. But it is a greater sin not to help them.

There is the proper distinction between Law and Gospel...both are preached by Paul because it's necessary to do so. The Law tells us to not sin...but only Jesus is sinless. You can try all you want to stop sinning, but you're going to do it and there are times when you aren't even aware that you've sinned. That's why there is the Gospel, that good news that Jesus died for you on the cross and ALL your sins are forgiven. Don't you believe that your sins are forgiven?

I could not believe in any true sense had Jesus not paid for my sins on the cross. Heb 11:1 tells me faith is the substance and evidence of my salvation. If I decided to believe, it would be because I did not believe but chose to trust in the arm of the flesh instead.

Faith grasps onto the truth of the cross. You can't choose that. But you're saying you aren't saved if you keep sinning...and I say that you're going to keep sinning whether you realize it or not, so look to the cross and know you are forgiven.

Also to add...I'm not saying to go out and sin because you're forgiven.

But John says IF you sin, not when you sin.

Paul says we can overcome the temptation to sin and live a sinless life. “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” Galatians 5:16 (KJV 1900)

Here's my approach to walking in the Spirit.

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” (2 Corinthians 10:5) (KJV 1900)

That means censoring every impure thought or imagination. And change the channel in our thinking on any thought that does not conform to obedience to Christ.

And replace it with:

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)

Jesus is God and God is love. So if love is Lord of our thoughts and actions. We can honestly say Jesus is the Lord.
