There is no contradiction.
It is eisegesis Paul proves wrong. They say he can hear the word, but Paul says he cannot.

Like I said, you misunderstand the document.

Faith comes by hearing the word of God is directly from scripture. That doesn't mean that WE are doing anything to receive what God is giving us by his word. It's 100% God's doing.

But dead people cannot hear a chirp. Unless first born-again. Paul proves this. They claim the exact opposite of his teaching.

That's correct that dead people cannot make themselves hear, but GOD is the one who has them hear. Now do you see it?

So some are born again to the exclusion of others? That's Calvinism.

I don't understand what you're asking. Could you ask it in another way?

You wind up teaching Calvinism in your reply, and not Lutheranism. "GOD is the one who has them hear. Now do you see it?"

You said it yourself that dead mean can't hear...so when scripture says that faith comes by hearing God's word, we know that it's God who gives us faith and we hear.

You see God's word "effects". It causes things to happen. Don't you believe that?

But Paul says after you speak, the dead guy still cannot hear. So you turn to Calvinism to bail you out.

I don't know what you mean by turning to Calvinism.

You don't believe that God's word changes men?

Your creed is flawed. So you reflect Calvinism as a way out. I pointed this out using your quote earlier.

So what about Jesus paying for all sins including the sin of rejecting him?

You didn't explain what you implied concerning Calvinism. Please explain.

Judgement Day proves Christ did not pay for the sins of most. Or all would be saved.

That's not accurate. Those who are damned are the ones who reject the Christ.

Dave's point flows from his heresy of denying faith. This is not unknown among those of this horrible Anti-Calvin theory. As he perpetually states (one way or another), "If Jesus died for all then all would be saved." NOTE the elimination of faith, note the very careful exclusion of any role or function of faith. Yes, of course, if faith is a joke, if faith is meaningless and irrelevant, then yes all would be saved since Jesus died for all. But the problem is: We don't share his heresy of denying faith.

This might be helpful....

This is 18 minutes long and not particularly focused but helpful...

Blessings on your Advent and Christmas seasons...

The reason you do not have faith in limited atonement is that you refuse to believe the rest of the scriptures. You reject the source of faith found in the Bible.
