a "break?" At whose expense?

And in any case, is the nation's objective to have everyone be treated in a fair and equitable manner...or is it to punish the racial majority because not everyone is equally talented, prosperous, and/or respected?
Jesus would give to those who ask of him. And show compassion to those repelled by a racist society. Would he not?

At the expense of the privileged white people.

Okay, I just looked at population composition and labour force composition in the US and they are fairly closely represented, but not quite. Seventy-five and a half percent of the population in the US is white and they take up 77% of the workforce. Blacks represent 13.6 of the population and 13% of the workforce. So it's fairly close, but does not show the whole picture. I wonder how many of those black people were originally hired as tokens in affirmative action? I wonder how many blacks there are in low-paid service positions compared to white people? I wonder about pay equity for those who are not in low-paid service positions? I wonder how many blacks are hired way lower than than their education level compared to white people? And as I mentioned before, I wonder how many of these workers feel safe driving home in the dark after work, or walking to a corner store without fear of being targeted verbally or physically? Figures don't paint the whole picture, so it would be interesting to really break this down.

Whoa. Reverse racism is no solution to the problem of racism.

I should think we would all know that by now.

It's not racism since hatred is not involved. Racism stems from hatred.

My husband was racially profiled in his job with the government. He was overlooked for a promotion BECAUSE he was white and not black. That's racism.

Hatred = not treating others as your equal. So if following Christ, the hubby should have been just as happy for the other guy as he would be for himself if given the job. I learned this when I was in a similar situation.

You still haven't proven anything. Lots of complains but nothin from scripture proving you're right.

I realize you believe in what you say and welcome your replies. I used to believe like you and had a rough time with the eternal security bunch, not really Calvinists. But the Lord miraculously saved my life and the life of my family when I heard a seminary professor teaching against Limited Atonement. Somehow I heard the truth in it and broke off fellowship with them that night. It wasn't long until I found out they were becoming one of the deadliest cults in US history. They killed many people teaching universal atonement and healing through the same works most UAs trust today.
Did you mean to post this ^ in the thread about Universal Atonement??

There is no such thing as reverse racism. Feel free to look it up.

It's difficult to cure racism among people who are indoctrinated by it. As for myself, I'm white and I work with a black person everyday and black people. The skin color is simply no more relevant than eye color to me. My life is about survival and I simply don't have time to hate and with the Holy Spirit in me, it especially doesn't come to my mind.

Yeah, racism is indoctrinated and it gets way worse if the people aren't saved. With one relative I know, it' so repulsive, among other things, that I don't even want to associate with him. He offered me work I really needed and I said something like "No, thanks".
