Why yes, it is. However the circular or AE map that most flat earther's promote with it's circular sun is provably wrong. I used to promote it here until I discovered that the popular map is faulty. That said, I'm on board with no overall curvature and NASA faking space. That much we agree on.

Ancient rabbanic literature goes into great detail about a spherical world and how all people, standing upright, do so round about the sphere.
ancient peoples have always known the world to be round, provide me an ancient text that says otherwise.

Look at the round earth, there is an above, and a below, there are waters above, and waters below.

Ancient greeks knew what matter was and what matter was made of, they also were the first to come up with the evolution theory.

Ancients built the pyramids... my point is that humanity got dumb around the middle ages, people believed anything back then, then we learned again, even though some people in power had always known, and they werent happy.

Well, there are about forty verses in the Bible that are considered proof texts for this matter, so there's no lack of Scriptural information. But even if one Bible version translates the original word as circle and another takes liberties by using the English word globe, it's still the case that Columbus didn't sail west in order to prove the world is round, even though we all heard that story as children, and his voyages didn't prove that it is round. That was already known.

CGI companies exist for that exact reason. To fake reality so the consumer can be wowed by the entertainment they provide. But, I digress. There's more.

If your question were directed, say, at the first "horseless carriage" (a motor vehicle), you'd have a point. Why fake it? But you drive and/or ride in them. It's very real.

But you will never go to space, or fly around in a space mobile. The only place ordinary people get to do this is through film and rides like at Disneyland. And don't underestimate the revenue such entertainment brings - it's in the billions. That's billions of reasons to keep promoting lies.

Oh I understand that American Civil religion promotes trust of government (see here American civil religion - Wikipedia points 6,7) - but, excepting Paul's writings, the bible doesn't. Have you ever wondered how Satan could take Jesus up on a mountain and show him all the Kingdoms and offer them to him if only He'd bow to him? Jesus refused of course, but many people don't - as promoting his lies can be very lucrative. From Space to Quackzines to bogus Wars on Terror and everything in between.

The Space program started in earnest in the early 60's. CGI didn't exist at all until the 90's and even then CGI looked faked. Star Wars in 1977 was the first movie that didn't look like spaceships were hanging from a string (just look at the original Star Trek and Lost in Space TV shows). Even then, the original Star Wars trilogy didn't use CGI and it still looked fake.

Elon Musk sells a product to bot the government and private companies. That product is placing satellites in earth orbit for a variety of reasons. Elon Musk wants to make money and if his product is fake/doesn't work then he will not make money. He is also making money off starlink, the satellite based internet service. Which he would not have been able to implement if satellites weren't real.

My experience with Flat Earthers is they see what they want to see. Any picture/video of an optical illusion that makes the earth look flat is real and any picture/video that shows a curved planet is CGI. They come up with arguments that don't take into account basic physics, known natural optical illusions, how ships and planes navigate on a curved earth (if the earth was flat then all these ships captains and pilots would get lost because they have taken into account the curve of the earth since global travel became a thing), and just says things that exist don't exist. For instance, the insistence that there are no direct flights over the Southern Hemisphere. Or that it is illegal for civilians to go to Antarctica.

Trying to "debunk" Flat Earthers is pointless, there is no amount of debunking that will prove to them that their belief is false. Short of sticking them in a rocket and launching them into space so they can see for themselves, they will not believe.

Sadly, there are bunch of "Flat Earth" preachers who are making a lot of money from people watching Youtube videos, speaking at Flat Earth conferences, and selling flat earth merchandise. My guess is most of those "preachers" are just using gullible people to make a living.
