He does do such things, however. The Bible records him destroying people and cities because of various offenses, and he allowed his chosen race of people, the Hebrews, to experience many terrible episodes in history. And then also, he will condemn many souls in the afterlife.

Looked at this another way, if you pressed your point and were convinced of it, you'd probably have to be a Unitarian Universalist in order to fit, by denomination, into the spectrum of Christian churches. Doing that would put you in the company of a very tiny percentage of Christians.

Because that is the right thing for God to do.

Because the 'merciful and rational God' is also a God of vengeance. A God of righteousness.

When God slaughters, it is because it is good and right.

They also believe that Jesus is the Messiah and that He will return to defeat Al-Masih ad-Dajjal (their version of the anti-Christ).

That would be ‘another Jesus’, not the same Jesus as revealed in Scripture.

That's correct. It's not the use of the same terminology that matters in this case--or in the case of the word Allah when speaking of God--but the belief as it concerns the identity and nature of that being.

"They" believe that Jesus was a prophet, but not God incarnate. That POV would mark someone claiming to be a Christian as a heretic or even a non-Christian.

God does not destroy all the Muslims in the promised land. The king of the north does.
God doesn't save the muslims from. Destruction though. He does save those in Christ.
