I do not search out weird things to eat on a burger - meat, bun, tomato, maybe lettuce with mayo and mustard as well as cheese is my mainstay. I usually add onions if I feel brave. I once tried one with grilled pineapple and no, it was not to my liking. I have avoided salsa and/or avocado because they don’t belong on my burger. Not fond of BBQ sauce but ketchup is nice. I have eaten veggie burgers (thumbs down) and turkey burgers (on the fence) but nothing exotic or really “out there” so I guess I like my burgers pretty boring.

Probably weird to everyone else, but not to me. My local supermarket used to sell these really yummy potato/lentil/spice patties and I would pick them up every once in a while to use instead of meat, along with the usual other bits - lettuce, onion, ketchup etc. I wasn't even a vegan at the time and I enjoyed them.

One that had no meat. Was vegetable matter formed to look like meat for vegetarians.

Did it taste good?
Been a long time, but with all the ketchup I put on burgers I probably got through it okay. Does not taste like real meat though.

This is my preferred meat these days:

I used to eat some towers when I was a student. A half-pound burger (two 1/4lb patties) loaded with cheese, mushrooms, pineapple and sometimes a fried egg. The box they were put in was impressive, there was no mistaking there was a honking great burger in there.
