Does anyone love Maple Syrup too?

Around here, it's served on pancakes or waffles with butter. But also, around March-April, there's "cabana a sucre", event, which is to taste the maple syrup directly from the tree. What about you?

Is that actual maple syrup? It sounds like something a couple of friends had years ago when I visited. It looked good but the ingredients were little more then high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners and maple flavoring. One look at the ingredients was all it took for me to never touch the stuff again.

I love real maple syrup.

No, it's not pure syrup. The actual pure syrup is too runny for my liking and it's even sweeter than Mrs. Butterworths.

Real maple syrup is made from tree sap and with my tree allergies it's probably best I avoid that.

A shame you are no able to eat maple syrup, but now we know a use for artificail maple syrups. However, maybe you would be better off smothering the pancake with whipped butter?

In my younger days I would eat a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast and it would be smothered in half a bottle of maple syrup (8 oz bottle). Soupy, sweet, and delicious! Now I am not supposed to have so much sugar.
