Do you think that Christians should take up arms and demand public schools to teach Creation Science under threat of violent force?

I mean, think about the Maccabees. They didn’t politely ask the Greeks to please stop polluting the temple. No, they fought them with swords, spears, and arrows and forced them out.

But the “peaceful” Jews refused to fight on the Sabbath, and a thousand of them were slaughtered.

I don't want secular, government schools to teach my children religion. NOWHERE does God give the responsibility of religious training to the secular state, nowhere does Scripture state that the Greeks or Romans should teach religion to Jewish children. This is the PARENT'S responsibility (and especially the FATHER'S) - not secular, godness government.

And at least in my state, the government does not require that my child goes to public schools or believes anything they learn there if they do. Christian schools are allowed (even welcomed), homeschooling is allowed (even supported). IF I want to teach my children creationism, the government does absolutely NOTHING to prevent or hinder that - I'm 100% free to do it. I don't care if the secular, state school doesn't mention God in that regard, in fact I'm kind of glad it doesn't. I don't want Nancy Polosi or Gavin Newsom teaching my kids about God .... I'LL do that, thank you. And I have a church to support me in this.

That’s a really backwards way of thinking

Our home town has a Catholic grade school, however I went to public school and fortunately they never even taught us evolution. The area was settled by mostly Catholic Czechs so it remained conservative through and through.
As for the nation now, yeah it fits the bill of a babylon system, I doubt a Christian militant revolt would ever happen but if they ban the Bible and start arresting church goers then it could lead to that.

Sure, that makes a lot of sense. Didn't Jesus himself say something like "kill your neighbor"?

Oh, wait....

I disagree.

What is "backwards"is parents asking the secular state to teach religion to their children, the parents forfeiting their responsibility to the secular government, in the USA, asking Nancy Polosi and Gavin Newsom and Joe Biden to teach their religion to our children.

I think what is "forward" is to accept and embrace the responsibility that God gives to parents in this regard, especially to fathers.

I disagree. Clearly you haven’t read the writings of Benjamin Rush.
Besides, the poor is who is at stake here.
The rich can pay for Christian schools.
The rich can afford to have a parent stay home and homeschool.
The poor are the ones who can’t afford these things. And they deserve to know the truth also. Instead of learning the nonsense of evolution, they should also be told the truth of how dinosaurs fit into the Bible.

So, exactly to whom do you think that poor parents should abdicate their responsibility to teach their children? Do poor Muslim parents get to take up arms to demand their children are taught the faith of their choice too?

Read what Benjamin Rush said about public schools.

When government gets involved in the church's business, nothing good comes out of it. One only needs to look at the middle east to get an idea of how such a thing as Nathan is pushing for would work itself out. There are other historical examples of how it would work out such as China during the reign of Mao Zedong where government controlled what religion was taught and violently punsihed anyone who went against them.

The separation of church and state is an important law set in place in the constitution and has allowed Christianity to flourish as a result where it allowed for open discussion and allowed that which has merit to stand the many tests put upon it by those who wanted to see more about it and that which don't to fall away into obscurity. If Christianity is true, then it will be compelling in of itself and not need to be forced on anybody unlike for example Islam that isn't compelling hence why violence is used to get people to claim belief in it and stay a believer.

But public schools in America started out teaching the Bible with teacher-led prayer at the beginning.

PERHAPS.... but I fail to understand why secular schools should do that today.

I deplore how parents are so eager to abdicate their God-given responsibilities and (worse) given them not to their church or family but to Nancy Polosi, Gavin Newsom, Planned Parenthood, etc. Frankly, I don't WANT secular, godless schools teaching my kids that God says same-gender marriage is grand, that abortion is a sacrament, that there are many paths to God, that of course it's okay or teens to have sex if they feel they are old enough to do so. I don't want some group of Muslims, liberal Christians, and Atheists writing the prayer my kid will be asked to pray at the start of the day, or to listen to some "sacred reading" written by some New Age idiot.

God gave ME the responsibility to teach my boys about God. I consider it a wonderful privilege. I'm not so lazy and so irresponsible as to abdicate that to secular government. My church will assist me. And IF I want the school to help me, I'll send them to a solidly CHRISTIAN school but I need not do either.

... and that's great but the world is different now.

If Christian parents get their religion of choice taught in schools, what about parents of other faiths? Do Muslims get their children taught religion at schools? What about Hindus, atheists, satanists, and the like?

The simple reality is that we can't expect to impose our beliefs on others and then complain if they try to do the same.
