A US Supreme Court decision ruled some time ago that Americans have a right to
own guns for self defense. However, self defense was not the founding fathers'
intention.

The second Amendment provides for an armed militia; which are not professional
soldiers, rather, citizen soldiers, e.g. minute men.

Minute men were not intended to be armed with government weapons; rather,
privately owned weapons that they can grab in a moments' notice, and those
weapons have to be suitable for warfare in the event it becomes necessary to
defend America from foreign invasion, e.g. the American Revolutionary War.

Well; if China or Russia should decide to invade America; they won't do so with
shotguns and deer rifles. Professional soldiers will be coming here equipped with
large capacity AK-47's, semi automatic handguns, rocket launchers, mortars, tanks,
artillery, helicopter gunships, and high tech jet aircraft.

Our minute men will be slaughtered should they attempt to defend us without
weapons comparable to theirs.

NOTE: Assault style rifles are not the same as actual assault rifles. Assault style
rifles are not fully automatic; they're semi automatic, i.e. in order to make an
assault style rifle fire successive shots, its trigger must be pulled each time; viz:
one pull, one shot.

The closest thing in the USA to a "militia" of the sort envisioned by the constitution are the state National Guards.

The closest thing in the USA to a "militia" of the sort envisioned by the constitution
are the state National Guards.

"A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of
the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

National Guardsmen neither keep nor bear their arms. The Guard's weaponry is
typically stored in an armory under lock and key rather than on their persons or in
their homes and cars.

Also: the "right" spoken of does not refer to military personnel; it refers to the
people, i.e. the citizenry, viz: civilians.

In addition: neither the police nor the Guard can be everywhere at once. They'll
allocate their resources where they decide will be most urgent, while the remainder
will be on their own. The police might even be ordered to stand down; they've done it
before.

How do you regard the current self-styled militias that have been prominent recently in some highly charged political protests?

All of it presupposes that the foreign invader has the military capability to defeat the US Armed Forces before confronting the 'militiamen'.

That the US Armed Forces could be defeated by any country at all would seem to lie in the realm of fiction, but it is well within the realm of possibility considering that the "modern occult technology" actually represents a "new dimension in modern warfare" (just as the development of prototype aircraft represented an additional dimension in the development of modern warfare in the 20th century), which has made it possible for any magus to kill large numbers of people, or entire groups of people by using the spiritual invocation of angelic armies (Revelation 19:14).

Look at Joe Biden's recent address to Congress and you will see that the Capitol building was virtually empty.

Why?

Was it due to the impact of Covid and social distancing rules that the House wasn't full?

More likely, because I have recently killed most of the members of Congress, but had failed to complete the task which I had set out to accomplish due to my activities being disrupted by the UK military intelligence at the behest of Joe Biden.

Because the actual length of time required to kill all the people in Congress and the US Armed forces would've been about 3 to 4 weeks of sustained effort and attack, but my activities had been curtailed after only a few days of commencing my ritual.

In the absence of such disruptions, I think it is reasonable to say that the following organisations could be annihilated in readiness for all out foreign invasion of the United States:-

(1) United States Congress
(2) Gubernatorial Governors
(3) State Delegates
(4) US Department of State
(5) US Department of Defence
(6) US Department of Homeland Security
(7) Federal Bureau of Investigation
(8) NSA & Central Intelligence Agency
(9) US Army
(10) US Navy
(11) USAAF
(12) US National Guard
(13) Civilian firearm owners
(14) America's entire military equipment, which includes its weapons of mass destruction

Bereft of its entire military personnel, entire military equipment, and militiamen there is no chance of America resisting any invasion by a country that is in the world's top ten in terms of its military expenditure.

Ultimately, the US government has expressed a wish, which is the actual undercurrent of this thread.

They would rather that America wouldn't be invaded at all, but in the inevitability of any foreign invasion they have expressed a wish for America to be invaded by an Anglo-Saxon country rather than any other country in the Western world.

Because the extent of suffering would be far greater in the event of a genocidal invasion by a Non-Anglophone country, but the invaders are less likely to be met by resistance if America were to be invaded by an Anglo-Saxon country.

Consequently, I believe this is the actual undercurrent of discussing such hypothetical situations in the OP.

Left with no other choice, Americans would much prefer such a genocidal invasion to be carried out by Britons instead of the French, Germans or Russians.

The second Amendment calls for a well regulated militia.

Webster's defines "regulate" as

1» To govern or direct according to rule

2» To bring under the control of law or constituted authority

3» To make regulations for or concerning

In other words: the militia spoken of in the second Amendment is not supposed to
take the law into its own hands, rather, expected to conduct itself legally, i.e. within
the bounds of the law and subject to higher powers, e.g. mayors, chiefs of police,
governors, Presidents, and ranking military officers.

In addition, the purpose of the second Amendment's militia is the security of a free
State. In other words: national defense.

Some of the mobs, looters, rioters, occupiers, and protestors I've seen of late have
not been conducting themselves awfully, nor submissive to higher powers, nor is their
agenda in any way devoted to national defense, i.e. foreign invasion.

NOTE: Cosmetic identifiers like "Social Justice" and "Civil Disobedience" are merely
sophisticated labels for camouflaging what used to be commonly known as mob
rule.

The Supreme Court ruled that the people have a right to arms. The fact that one of the main reasons for having firearms is self-defense is not the reason, stated or otherwise, for the decision. And "self-defense" does not mean defending the nation against foreign armies.

The thread's original post, in other words, was in error.

A recent op ed in the USA Today newspaper posits that by ousting Liz Cheney,
Republicans have become a greater threat than the 9/11 hijackers.

This is merely a salvo in a war of words in which the idea is to be as outrageous as possible. The liberals don't respect Liz Cheney for a moment and never did. However, there is another reason for such nonsensical accusations.

The Biden administration, whoever is running it, has made a mess of things all across the board and in less than four months. The liberal media need unimportant things like Cheney losing a fairly minor Republican party post--not her seat in Congress--so that they don't have to report on war in the Middle East, inflation and unemployment at home, an invasion on the southern border that goes unchallenged, a constantly changing policy towards Covid, and gas lines reminiscent of the 1970s.

Hm... maybe that's the answer to the question that has been plaguing the nation...

6 January 2021 --- the Barbarians were at the Gates of the Citadel and now half of our defenders are saying "There is no fifth column. lets just ignore them and they'll go away." We may be eyewitnesses to the death throes of democracy in the United States of America.
