Before the Mazzaroth signs, the Lord set up His appointed plan mapped out in the constellations and by movement of the stars, moon, and sun predestined it to be full of the knowledge of His plan of salvation. It is the "sign of the times". In the Hebrew mindset, proof was in the skies.I don't think we should mistakenly believe we do not need to interpret the signs of the times.

The neat thing is, when they saw a cloud, they didn't say "I heard that a cloud may or may not be a sign of something. I don't know what it is, but when I see it I'll know".

It cannot mean what it never meant. Jesus said if you saw a sign, you'd know what it was for and it would come to pass. He never indicated that you would have to figure it out later.

I'm not convinced that what we saw was what Joel had in mind. But let's say that it is. We've had a blood moon. We've had many. It says

The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. - Joel 2:31

So if this is true, nothing else needs to happen before Christ comes.

You know not scripture..."before" the great and terrible day... is not instantaneous right after.
