 I need help interrupting a dream.

I was looking up at this ladder that was HUGE like it went all the way into space. Lately I have been having really weird dreams. But this one scared me and woke me up as I am afraid of heights and I felt like I falling off the ladder. :scared: WEIRD! :bolt:

Next time you get into one of those weird dreams, pray about it, in the midst of the dream, because if it is from the Lord, He will explain it to you. If it is not, He will tell you.

Are you maybe feeling that you're progressing with something (climbing the ladder) but that it's scaring you?

I always have weird dreams. Like always :) I think they're fun but then again I rarely have nightmares.

Thats interesting as we are doing a weekly bible group thing and I usually don't want to go as I am scared that I am not good enough/smart enough but Jordan usually makes me go and I feel better after. Its been about a month or so of going. Even tho its scary I have only missed once and that was cause I was sick.

Remember Jacob had a ladder dream. Here is the story.

Gen. 28:10 And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.

11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.

12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

13 And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not.

17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

19 And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.

Your dream seems similar imho. If you meditate the above scripture, maybe our Father will give you the meaning of your dream. I don't think you need to fear deeper study of our Father's word dear sister. He loves you, and He wants you to have a more intimate knowledge of Him. So embrace this new adventure and fear not. You may be receiving some spiritual gifts as well, but you must not be afraid. Our Father wants all of us to come up higher. Maybe that is what your dream is about, I don't know. Have you ever heard the song about Jacob's Ladder? I love that song because it shows how we grow in Christ. Every round goes higher and higher. Here it is...enjoy.

Yes my husband told me about Jacob's ladder. :) I will meditate on those and pray for knowledge of what this dream means to me.

Thank you for the video :hug2:

If you're really "not good enough" then go along and learn until you are. That's not intended as a flippant brush-off, but if you go along and listen to what people are saying, make lots of notes, go home and compare what people are saying to what Scripture says (back to my hobby horse of "test all things"!) and over time you'll get to know Scripture better until you're in a place you can teach others.

Sometimes the less intellectual can learn a lot from the more intellectual, and sometimes it's the other way around. A really good friend of mine considers himself intellectually inferior to me but his opinion is one I seek out because he is straight down the line and sometimes if I get into thinking about something in excruciating detail he's the one who gives me a slap and points out that really it's simple. Sometimes it's easy to get so deep into heavy thought about something that we miss the meaning that's obvious. Sometimes the people who really think deeply and can come across as intellectually daunting miss the thing that's obvious, and someone who feels intimidated might have the key piece in the puzzle that they missed.

Aw, you don't have to feel that way. Some people will talk about some things you might think are over your head, but just remember, you're talking about your Savior and you know Him well :)
