The historicity of the book of judith has nothing to do with "Christian Theolgy"

What are you talking about? Maccabees is real history, confirmed even by secular historians. Please stop trolling, and list an actual historical mistake in Judith.

Let's say there ARE historical inaccuracies in a book.... or not.... what great consequence would that have to you? Is it only a matter of history or something more? Do you theorize that any book containing accurate history ergo must be accepted by all people of faith for thousands of years as the inerrant, canonical, inscripturated words of God and thus Scripture?

No. Four books with the common title of "Maccabees" are BOOKS. They CONTAIN history, as millions upon millions of books do. I think many view at least some of that history as factual, as is the case with millions of other books that contain history.
I suspect you are speaking of a specific book with a popular moniker of Judith. That books CONTAINS history (as millions and millions of other books). Some may be factual, perhaps some not.
You seem very, very focused on some books. You bring some up a lot, in thread after thread. Never disclosing your point. Okay, I guess.... we could have a discussion of To Kill a Mockingbird... and include a discussion of how accurate it is portraying history of the south at that time. But I kind of agree with pinacle in asking why is this discussion in the Christian Theology forum? And wondering if you have a point (I've asked many times).

PERHAPS the point is: Why are we discussing the historicity of a book in THIS specific forum? We could discuss "To Kill a Mockingbird" (a very popular, award winning book) that contains a lot of history, accurate at that, indeed the entirety of the book is a comment on history. But is that specifically Christian Theology?
While I at times disagree with this poster, I think pinacle asked a valid question: Why is the historicity of some book a specific CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY issue? And I don't see what this has to do with the Eastern Orthodox churches.
I'm not a "forum nazi" (LOL) but when I saw the opening post, I had the exact same reaction as pinacle did: why is this specifically CHRISTIAN THEOLOGY? Not that that's a critical thing.... we're lax here at CH (and that's good).
