Look at it this way: if they are not sorry, then that means that they continue to be deceived by the devil because anyone who sees the truth of God is sorry for not having obeyed the truth. So if you realize that they continue to be remain deceived while you see the truth, the natural response is to want them to see the truth too and, therefore, to pray for them.

This goes for God, too. Jesus looked down from the Cross at the Roman executioners, men who took glee in their horrific art and certainly NOT repentant or believers. And HE said, "Father, forgive them."
Now, in addition to actually forgiving, we can also practice amnisty - we can choose to "move on." See Matthew 18:15 and following.

I can forgive someone who isn't sorry. Forgiveness is a gift and isn't earned.
That doesn't mean I won't set up boundaries though to protect myself from something happening again though!

No. Because people don't learn from forgiveness and I don't forgive a lot of people. But that doesn't mean I'm devoid of forgiveness. I've entertained some very dark ideas about what I would love to happen to those that have pissed on me and walked away smiling about it.

You don't strike me as a malicious person. I think we'll get along just fine.
A lot of the people I haven't forgiven are in the past tense. They're not current. The biggest grudge I hold is against my former sister in law whom I hate the most. She's caused me a lot of aggravation.

I get along with most people. The only person I didn't get along with on here was a guy who said he was God.

Yeah, with religion comes cult leaders. You'll have plenty of people like Charles Mansion, David Koresh, Jim Jones, and Sergey Anatolyevitch Torop claiming they're the second coming of Jesus. I think they do it for sex, power, and money mainly. My ex wife was a Christian and her uncle was pretty nuts. Had his own church and his own set of rules. Nobody liked him.

Not all Christians are crazy
No, not all Christians. My grandparents and brother are Christian.
But I've met some girls that are pretty crazy that weren't part of the Christian pantheon. Instead they had crazy beliefs that were supposedly pagan or spiritual. I though they were attractive until they opened their mouths and started with the crazy talk about their beliefs in witch craft or something about believing in a creator of some sort.
Primarily the ones that I've run away from is the two girls on "Plenty of Fish" that were just extremely mentally ill. One I got trapped into a relationship with for 3 months and went through hell or high water to get out of. I learned a valuable lesson. Then I went on to meet another crazy one, never met her in person, and she texted me a picture of her currently with her hair all ripped out and she was bald and obviously in the middle of a long term mental break down. So I quickly passed on that one. I didn't want another psycho around my kids.
