Rightly or wrongly, if people want to claim to speak for God and act as if they are above being questioned or tested I'm not sure it's relevant to say whether it's right that the legal system protects them.

Either way if someone relentlessly gives false prophecies they need to be named and exposed. It needs to be done objectively, although sadly there are sites and organisations out there who continue to pump out things that claim to be prophetic that as far as I can tell are anything but.

Mr Popoff is still getting money from people for his 'healing ministry' only nowadays he does it under the guise of a religious organisation that is tax exempt.

Wikipedia said:
Popoff was collecting almost $4 million per year in the late 1980s, according to Randi.[38] In 2003 his ministry received over $9.6 million, and in 2005, over $23 million. In that year, he and his wife were paid a combined salary of nearly $1 million, while two of his children received over $180,000 each.[39] Financial data is not available for Popoff's ministry since 2005 because Peter Popoff Ministries changed from a for-profit business to a religious organization in 2006, making it tax-exempt.[6] Popoff purchased a home in Bradbury, California, for $4.5 million in 2007.[40] He drives a Porsche and a Mercedes-Benz.[41]

One would hope that the lesson was learned when Mr Popoff was exposed in 1987 but here in 2015 he seems to be doing even more scamming than back then.

Sometimes all we can do is figure that a fool and his money are soon parted. It's sad when the "fool" is equally a "desperate person" but at the end of the day if people freely hand over their money to someone that's their call. I don't have a problem with explaining why I consider certain teachers to be false, even dangerous, but if someone wants to ignore my views and hand over their money that's ultimately their call.

Then they have a closed canon, too. So they should have some scripture to rely on.
Jude included the Book of Enoch.... so there is more than the closed canon we work with now.

It does not include the book of Enoch.

The current closed canon does not include Enoch. The books that Jude considered inspirational did include Jude as he quoted one of his favorite parts.

If you want to make something quoted into canon, you'd better be careful.

Back then Enoch was canon among the believers... Ethiopian Copt still consider Enoch canon. Tertullian (160-230 C.E) even called the Book of Enoch "Holy Scripture".

Quoting a sentence doesn't make it cannon.

Personally, Canon holds little value for me. When you look at the characters who dictated what would be included in the canon, you know it was done with an agenda not entirely conducive to the faith.

Take a look at its history. Old and New Testament were decided by the 5th century. So who decided? Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox. I think it is time to see for yourself.

Yes but I doubt that this will change his mind, I agree that we can draw truth from many sources conserning the Word

You should probably not assume that you understand how we got our canon. Maybe do some research.

But what do you use to verify it's true? Your feeling? God talking to you? Or something less subjective.

Don't answer. You've already let us know. That's why we are this many posts into the thread with no scriptural evidence for the significance of the blood moon.

Since Enoch was canon for centuries. It has validity for study purposes as my "enoch" thread suggests.

Still waiting for any biblical evidence that the most recent blood moon was something we should concern ourselves with.

Have to understand the Hebrew mind set first before the recent blood moons have any meaning to the scriptures I could give you.

So you have some? Let's see them. My understanding isn't relevant at this time.
