(I'm not saying whether WE should wear masks or not)

I've seen some memes on Facebook declaring that Jesus would wear a mask and some even have cartoons of the mask wearing Jesus. But Jesus would NOT wear a mask. He is God. He cannot get ill with the virus which means He can't spread the virus.

Wearing a mask indicates that you could possibly be infected with the virus and wish to contain your spittle because I wear a mask to protect you and you wear a mask to protect me. Jesus knows He cannot spread a virus and so by wearing a mask it would be bearing false witness in that we would think He COULD spread the disease.

I humbly disagree.....

Jesus abided by civil laws and directives, even those of the evil and stupid Roman government. And I recall he was baptized EVEN THOUGH He didn't need it (no sin to forgive) but as He told John, "To fulfill all righteousness" in other words, because it was a directive.

Without turning this into another baptism argument, Jesus' baptism wasn't just for show (not saying He had sin but in His baptism He took on our sin to take to the cross).

And Jesus walked among the lepers without social distancing...because He was God and couldn't get sick. The mandates required people to stay away from lepers but thankfully Jesus was the healing one who didn't abide by that.

I'd say if the government commanded it to be worn then he would as we are directed to follow the commands of the government in Romans 13:1-7.

All of you must obey the government rulers. Everyone who rules was given the power to rule by God. And all those who rule now were given that power by God. 2 So anyone who is against the government is really against something God has commanded. Those who are against the government bring punishment on themselves. 3 People who do right don’t have to fear the rulers. But those who do wrong must fear them. Do you want to be free from fearing them? Then do only what is right, and they will praise you.

4 Rulers are God’s servants to help you. But if you do wrong, you have reason to be afraid. They have the power to punish, and they will use it. They are God’s servants to punish those who do wrong. 5 So you must obey the government, not just because you might be punished, but because you know it is the right thing to do.

6 And this is why you pay taxes too. Those rulers are working for God, and they give all their time to the work of ruling. 7 Give everyone what you owe them. If you owe them any kind of tax, then pay it. Show respect to those you should respect. And show honor to those you should honor.

Our states have not gone through the process to make mask wearing into "Law". They are only mandates.

Jesus didn't always follow man's mandates such as the requirement to stay away from lepers.

Ole sh'aul (paul) is speaking of the leaders(rulers) within the community of the Body of believers.
Not secular authorities whom call evil good and good evil.

Haven't you read the scripture concerning the royal governing of Yeshua(jesus)?
Isaiah 9:6

{פ}6 That the government may be increased, and of peace there be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it through justice and through righteousness from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts doth perform this.

As for tithes(taxes) Yeshua spoke clearly about this in saying,"render unto caesar what is Caesars', and render unto The Most High what is due...."

Blessed be The Holy One

As I understand it, leprosy requires substantial contact with the person (or an armadillo, according to Wikipedia). Just walking among lepers briefly wouldn't spread it.

Theology holds that Jesus was fully human. To me that indicates that he felt hot and cold and had to hold his tongue when he stubbed his toe. He provably suffered the usual diseases that we are all subject to.

Leprosy no more comes from armadillos as does rabies from bats.
That is an old urban myth.

Research leprosy in medical annals and you will find that many skin disorders were misdiagnosed.

Think of how the diseases are contracted compared to rabies.

As for the coranavirus(common cold) its mutation has always been an issue.
Hence vaccines every yr or more according to suggestible circumstances.
Also remember that certain parasitic insects such as mosquitos(gnats) are carriers of many forms of illnesses.

Blessings Always

Why are you promoting a meme on Facehook lammchen?

Did staff obligate you to do so according to a sponser.

I'm curious about the how sponsorship has anything to do with theology,
