Well if I decoded the Shroud or Turin I'll probably get to heaven before you guys?

The shroud won't save you. It's Jesus the Christ who died on the cross for the forgiveness of your sins.

Jesus only dies for people who liveth and believth in him. I know this because I listened to him.

He called it you shall never die.
2:20

Believers all die.

Jesus died for the sin of the world. Not all will have eternal life though, only those who trust in the forgiveness won by Him will live. Those who reject Him damn themselves. The shroud has nothing to do with our salvation.

Believeth in what is the question? Believing in the Savior who died on the cross so that your sins are forgiven is the answer. We can only live because He died and then Lives again.

God wants us to live our lives with faith in Him. That's how we live. The living isn't what saves us. It's the "by grace through faith in Jesus" that saves.

Your preacher has told you that... store up treasure on Earth so you don't go? Read what a work is and get back to me.

The only treasure I want in heaven is my earth woman Mark 10:9.. and the kids I had with her, and maybe my other kid... that got taken from me. I lost it all.

The treasure Christians want and need is Jesus our Redeemer. He is more precious than any other thing you could find here on Earth. As Christians, God doesn't need our good works. Our neighbors do though so we work hard to follow God's good and Holy Law to show love to God and to our neighbors. That's an outpouring of the faith God gives to us as a gift and since He blesses us, we in turn are a blessing to others. That doesn't save us. It's because we're saved by God.

A man is saved through faith(justified) in Christ however one who is truly born again is being sanctified by the Holy Spirit throughout their life after having been justified and a byproduct of that is good works. If a professed believer does no good works consistently throughout their life after having bee n supposedly saved then it would in my view be a concern that they are not saved because if there are no good works then the sanctification process is not going on and if that's not going on then the Holy spirit isn't present and if the Holy spirit is not present then you have no reason to believe you are jusitifed by Christ because no man justified by Christ skips any of the steps mentioned above.

Since the believer has the Holy Spirit working in him it's not possible that works won't happen.
