Was the blood moon experience a disappointment?

Oh lol I forgot the pastors. Haha work all night to hear what God has to say today to the church and then say: I can't hear God.
He spoke audibly to Daniel.
Voices sounds scary, a small still Voice that His sheep hear sounds better.
Hey everyone who's saved can hear His Voice. Otherwise they weren't saved.

I think everyone who is saved can hear His voice, but I don't think everyone who is saved listens. Or they will say "Something told me to do this or that." or "Something told me not to do this or that" and the do not realize it is the Holy Spirit speaking to them. A lot of people ignore the voice, or push it aside and plunge straight into trouble.

Daniel heard the voice of an angel, the archangel Michael came to him and spoke and he received dreams too and visions; these are not like the voice heard by all the people at the foot of Mount Sinai.

If one cannot be saved apart from hearing the voice of God in the air as the people of Israel heard God speak at Sinai then few are saved indeed. I do not believe this doctrine that you've propounded saying "Hey everyone who's saved can hear His Voice. Otherwise they weren't saved."

Then you believe that God changed and no longer speaks?

God sent his Son who is himself God what can be more complete than the revelation of Jesus Christ himself and if one has Christ then voices from heaven - angelic of otherwise - cannot supersede Christ.

God is not a respector of persons therefore everyone can but few do, why? Because they are to busy with their problems or lives or the computer or tv or anything else that takes the place to talking to God. Try turning everything off and powering down your mind and sit quietly praying and asking God things, wait patiently quietly and if you are truly concentrating on God alone you will be surprised at what you might hear. I agree that most do not hear but then again a lot of people dont even pray often or much less expect an answer from God or wait for it as everything today is now and people dont like to wait

Oh yes but I meant when he was small that God called him and he thought it was Eli.
Lol no that's not what I said. I never heard an audible Voice. Jesus said: My sheep hear My Voice, so through the preacher or someone who led you to Christ you heard the Word and got saved. That was His Voice.

I remember when I was just saved for a few years someone told me he heard God and God said this and that. I didn't understand it. I never heard anything. Does He yell in your ear or something? Then he said no I just get thoughts like well he gave some examples. Ooooooh you call that God speaking? But I have that too, I just didn't know it was God. I thought those were my own thoughts.
If you want to become angry and you get: no don't do that. God once said that to me in a discussion on a forum. He said say you're sorry, remove your stupid jokes, don't make another comment. Just say sorry.
If this had happened before I recognized His Voice I would have said: oh I thought: I'll remove those jokes and apologize.
It was really God. I was so glad I did. I did nothing wrong but he was offended and angry at me. Turned out he had brain injury or something. Had a good talk with him.

I cannot help but think that you and some others in this thread are equivocating the meaning of "speak" and "spoke" with reference to the voice of God because with one breath you speak of hearing the voice of God and God speaking to you and with the next breath this voice is silent and incapable of being recorded on your phone or ipod and thus we have the voice of God heard and yet not heard with earthly ears nor carried in the air by normal natural sound waves but instead a secret voice in the head that none can record and no one else can here. If you mean to say that God draws and leads you and that an inner 'voice' within you speaks and you recognise it as from God then please make it clear that this is not the voice of God that the children of Israel heard at the foot of mount Sinai nor the voice from heaven that spoke when Jesus prayed before raising Lazarus from the dead nor yet the voice that was heard at his baptism and again at the transfiguration because the voice heard with earthly ears on those occasions could be recorded and was recorded in writing by those who heard it. But the voice that speaks inside one's head is silent on any recording device and no other person "hears" it.

If due care is taken, and that is what I ask of you, to distinguish between hearing with the ears and "hearing" with the heart or mind or both but not with the ears then much of the confusion in these discussions would disappear. And if you and others allege ear-heard voices speak and that the voice is the very voice of God then say so in unambiguous language and next time you hear such voices turn on your phone's voice recording because such a recording would surely be a tremendous testimony for the faithful and even for those who are not yet in Christ.

And since I have already stated that God does lead the faithful by means of holy scripture, prayer, the admonition of pastors, the teaching of the church, and the advice of wise persons as well as by natural events and history as it unfolds there can be no doubt that God "speaks" to the faithful through these means and possibly through dreams and visions and even by angelic visitors but the latter is exceptional and unusual while the former is common and a part of nearly every believer's experience. So let's not get into claims that those who have not heard voices with their natural ears are outside of the body of Christ nor that they are somehow less "inside" if they have not heard revelations from God with an inner ear of the heart or mind by faith.

Now, having dealt with this matter of hearing God (or "hearing" God with an inner ear) I am wondering if we're still talking about the recent "blood moon" and if it was a disappointing experience?

I like controversial topics and conversation when we keep it civil and when we struggle with the issues and try to understand what each one is saying and I like to have clarity in what is said in such discussions, so please read my comments above in the spirit in which I wrote them - seeking clarification about what is being asserted and what is not all the while maintaining respect and friendship with the brethren (and sisters). :)

Yes, it happens this way for me as well, especially on forums. He even says, don''t engage this person. One time, several years ago, when I was just beginning to hear, I bought a new car. It was Bible study night, so I went early because I wanted to stop by my aunt's house. When I got to my aunt's house, the Spirit said clearly to me, not from the outside audibly, but from inside me. He said "Don't park next to that light pole." Well, me being rebellious and disobedient, and unbelieving that I was actually hearing Him, I said to myself, "Oh it will not hurt to park here." Well,I went in and visited with my aunt. When I got ready to leave, I was backing out I heard a crunch.I dented my fender on that pole. Horrified when I got to Bible study, I told my pastor what happened. My pastor scolded "You are going to learn to listen!" Well I started paying attention after that for sure.

The Holy Spirit is never quiet within me. When He does go quiet, it scares me because I know I have grieved Him in some way. Immediately I repent.

Yes, an inner voice almost all the time is what I am talking about and yes, it can speak very clearly. I do not mena to imply inside knowledge or that others are less because they dont hear but the sad fact is that most do not because there are to many other things intruding and taking their time. You need to spend time in prayer and reflection, asking God and expecting an answer but it takes time as God works in His time and not ours so be prepared to spend hours klike this. I have seen visions both open and closed, and yes at times I have heard the voice of God, not audibly as in recording it but inside and it can be loud but is usually soft. I am not talking the leading of the Holly Spirit as with scripture and I am not talking a preacher, I am talking personal experience and I know it is real because I experience it a lot and I also know that it is available to every believer if they take the time to listen.

How do you know it's God? What does the voice say?

Are you claim8ihng that God changed and doesnt speak to anyone in that way?

You seem to be back to your false dichotomies here Bill.

There's a huge space between "God speaks to everyone" and "God doesn't speak to anyone". God can speak to some and not others. God may guide us all if we're willing to listen but will guide different people in different ways.

This is a reasonably clear answer, at least as clear as it's possible to be when describing how God leads us in an individual sense.

I assume you consider the leading that you are given and make sure it aligns with Scripture? It's easy to get ideas flowing through your head that just come from your own imagination or from eating too much cheese the night before. I don't say that to mock but from my own experience. Sometimes I've had what seemed like vivid insights at the time but sometimes they turned out to bear little to no resemblance to reality. Sometimes too much cheese can cause vivid dreams or vivid daydreams. Other times I've had a similar sense to what you describe and presented it to a relevant person only to see their jaw drop.

That's just one part of the reason I keep banging the drum of "test all things" because if I followed every thought that crossed my mind I'd have ended up in all kinds of trouble.

Comments:
Wow! Look at that! It's beautiful! Good picture!
Hahahahahahaha that was it. In all the Hagee blood moon consternation I forgot to simply watch and see how beautiful it was.

This is from a Messianic Jew who's a geologist:

Acts 2:19-20

“And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20*The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come...”

This passage says there will be a blood moon before the day that the Lord comes. Since it says that the sun will be darkened, we know the blood moon referred to can’t be caused by an eclipse, because it is physically impossible for a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse to occur simultaneously. However, a large fiery comet impact that puts dust in the atmosphere is indicated as being the cause of both the darkened sun and the moon being reddened, since “fire” and “smoke” is mentioned.

Of course it has to line up with scripture or it is not of God but lets look at that. If I get a vision of say nuclear war does that line up? The answer is yes but of course the bible never uses those words but what it describes in certain places will line it up. Have to be careful not only of being misled but also over thinking it and not accepting what is there
