Lazier afternoon than planned. I took a walk around town, then visited my favorite brewpub to get some of their new beers, and just didn't really get motivated. I'll sand some more of the floor, maybe fit the fan tomorrow.

Good afternoon all, enjoying an Italian mild roast coffee and Chinese green tea. Having lunch on leftover pizza with lemon iced tea. Doinr aroma therapy and audio therapy till dinner and heading the sack tonight.

Good night all, been doing about an hour aroma therapy and audio therapy, meditating and doing yoga till dinner and having my beauty rest tonight.

Good morning all, had about 12 hours sleep last night, having my usual breakfast and my morning coffee.

Got a walk in this morning. A fairly leisurely pace today. My ceiling fan is installed and a load of stuff is hauled out of the room. I need to get the ladder out and a piece of furniture that will need to be dismantled, then I can get on with the baseboards and sanding the floor.

I hope my lumber yard is open. I will probably need to buy some extra material to make new baseboards. Some of the old material was in bad shape, some was in short lengths that didn't look good, and some had holes for electrical backboxes that are moving. I'm sure I can reuse some of it, just not necessarily all of it.

Good afternoon all, having an Irish cream coffee and Chinese herbal tea. Lunching on leftovers with orange juice. Doing aroma therapy and audio therapy till dinner and retiring to bed tonight.

Got just about everything removed from the room I'm working on except a big piece of baseboard that is too big to carry out (not sure how it got in there in the first place) and the vacuum cleaner and separator. Looking at the big piece of baseboard it's got some nasty marks from the nails that were holding it in place so I may need to trim it to size, which means either cutting it to remove it (that I really don't want to do) or risking ruining it completely by trying to cut it with a circular saw in a space not really big enough.

Perhaps I'll cut it in half, then run it through the table saw to cut the nasty parts off the top and bottom, then sand and restain it, and combine it with the other pieces I salvaged to cover as much as I can in that room. I'd rather not have joins but I'm going to have to have at least some, simply because the corridor to get to the room is tight enough that anything much over 8 feet long won't fit.

More sanding done, a nice little pile of sawdust growing in the middle of the room. There's an awful lot of material to be lifted but the floor underneath is looking rather nice. I found a few more places I need to touch up on the paintwork - mostly patches where the drywall mud had a couple of tiny dimples in it that the roller skipped over. I have a nice supply of sanding belts so hopefully this will be enough to finish the job. Then I get to lacquer it.... yay me!

Going out to get another 2 weeks of groceries. This could be a long day with how it's set up now and the long lines I hope they have things in stock that I need.

Up late last night tinkering with my wife's laptop and some stuff for the church. Feeling tired at the moment. Hopefully coffee will help, then I can do some more sanding while it rains. It's supposed to clear up later, maybe I can get out for my walk.

It's definitely frustrating because I know there are people who work all day and don't have time to go store to store in search of any! And you can't order online either because it's not there.
