Ah, that complicates things a little. Where I walk most of the roads are the kind of things where you can see for miles. They have lowish speed limits (mostly between 25-40mph), not that very many people stick to the limits, but at least there are very few places where you can't be seen from some distance. Of course even then it only works if the driver is actually looking at the road rather than their phone.

I'm worried about the phones too because the high school is nearby and there are a lot of teen drivers!

Here it's not just teen drivers. I'm growing more and more tempted to check the local laws regarding recording video of the road by our house - we have truck drivers coming through town over the speed limit and texting while driving. If you can't drive a truck without texting you really need to choose another career path.

Assuming it's lawful to record video of passing vehicles the sort of thing I'd look to do would be to send the first instance of catching something like that to the company in question and let them know that if it happens again the video will go straight to the police. Hopefully the company would deal with it, even if it means the driver getting fired.

Good morning all, had about 12 hours sleep last night, enjoying a peanut butter sandwich for breakfast and my morning coffee.

Did a lot of yard work today, mowed the front and side of the yard and pruned the rose bushes and weeded the rose bush garden and then put mulch down. I had more to do but my lower back is hurting so I decided to stop for now

Our favorite brewpub released a couple more of their beers in cans. A visit was in order. A couple of friends who also love their beers are staying home because of a nasty head cold (not the coronavirus!) so we picked some up for them while we were out. We might have to try and videoconference with them later so we can have a beer together even if meeting physically isn't a good idea.

I went for a walk but my back started hurting so I came home to stretch. I feel so much better but don't feel like picking up where I left off on my walk now.

Just got back from a walk with my wife. It was the first time she joined me for the 5-mile loop I like. The roads are quieter than normal, which is actually rather nice. We passed a total of about 8 people walking or jogging. It's handy having quiet roads, you can pass by on the other side of the road and keep a clear 10-15 feet away from anyone. The sunshine was glorious.

Nasty weather today so unlikely to get out for a walk around town today. Maybe I'll wander down to the church where I can walk further and in some kind of circles rather than pacing up and down my living room. For now it's time for coffee.

Good afternoon all, sipping a French mild roast coffee and a white jasmine tea. For lunch today : Japanese salad, sushi with lemon iced tea. Doing aroma therapy and music therapy therapy till dinner and hitting the deck tonight.

Might as well take the opportunity to tinker with some code I've been pondering for a while. I might even come out of this silly season with a useful product, or at the very least a useful upgrade to an existing product.
