Glorious day today but feeling incredibly tired, so spent an hour sleeping in my recliner instead going out and soaking up some sunbeams. Now debating whether to go for a later walk.

Painting? Do you do requests? :)

My drywall delivery arrived more or less bang on time this morning. It was an earlier than usual start for me but the options were either 7am or "some time during the day" so I went for 7am. Now I've got a pile of drywall in my garage, my car is parked on the driveway until I figure out how to get the drywall moved out of the garage, and I feel like I'm going to need my own body weight in coffee to carry me through to the evening. Now I just hope my drywall man gets over his bug soon so he can get to my job. I imagine he'd like to get over the bug too - when he's not working he's not getting paid.

The early start to the day was only part of the problem, for some reason last night I kept stirring and don't think I slept for more than 90 minutes at a time.

Nope. No can do. I used to LOVE painting and would volunteer to paint anyone's house but it's been a long time and my love has dwindled. What a pain...especially in a small powder room where you can't move around and keep disturbing whatever paint was already put on the wall. I'm glad I like the color because I'm not painting this room for a long, long time.

You're welcome to help paint my larger rooms - lots of space to move and not disturb the paint you already applied :)

Looking to move my drywall it's a lot lighter than I expected. I have a nasty feeling I should have ordered the 5/8" instead of the 1/2" lightweight product. I'm not sure how best to store surplus drywall - I need it out of my garage but only have so many places I can lay 8x4 sheets flat indoors. I'm considering setting the 1/2" lightweight product aside for internal walls and getting some 5/8" full weight drywall for the exterior walls, for the improved soundproofing.

Spent a couple of hours clearing out some junk. It was remarkable just how much old paperwork I was able to throw in either the recycling pile or the burn pile. Now chilling in front of the TV, taking a well earned rest!

Got a bit more tidying up done today, then had a friend round for a chat and a couple of beers. Overall a pretty lazy day.

Went back to the hardware store. I decided I really wanted the 5/8" so went back to see if they would exchange it. The process was remarkably easy - they charged me the difference in price between the two products and the guy seemed a little uncertain as he said they'd have to charge me another delivery fee. I don't like paying more in delivery but the mistake was mine so it's fair enough.

Then the afternoon was taken up with a long meeting. Loooooooooong meeting. It was productive, so not all bad. Now my wife and I are debating whether to reheat some leftovers or go out for dinner.
